Acteur returned the bow to Sarah, sweeping off his hat in the gesture of a gentleman. "Think nothing of it, cherie," the elegant eccentric replied, the crescent-wide smile of his mask reflected in the gleaming yellow pools of his eyes. "'Tis a rare pleasure to find a fellow performer interested in walking the path of the night...rarer still, to help them down that path."
Then, without warning, that "window" of darkness manifested. In a development that Sarah might (or might not) find intriguing, Acteur showed no sign of surprise--either at the hologram-esque screen, or at the sinister cloaked individual who spoke from it. Instead, the performer folded his arms behind his back and turned to face said individual, bowing his head as though addressing a superior. As he heard of the events described, Acteur tilted his head to one side as though interested--a sentiment confirmed by the soft whistle that escaped through the mouthpiece of his mask. And, in those eerie yellow eyes, a glittering of anticipation could be seen, as though their owner was excited by the chance to take action.
As the screen faded, Acteur de la Noir turned back to Sarah, the expression of his mask having taken on some subtle changes that turned that crescent-smile into a thing of sympathy. "Alas, a good actor's work is never quite done, is it? Never fear--I'll stay long enough to guide you to my theater. I daresay your instrument will be ready, by now..."
With that, the elegantly-dressed performer turned to head for the doors of the chamber, beckoning for Sarah Appleton to follow...
