Agrias held at herself at the final stomp, and was just as surprised as Beatrix when her life did not end. Instead, the general decided to retire, further evidence that there was still light in there... the light she loved. She stayed there several minutes in that position, until she decided it was time to try and escape. She grunted, removing her high heels, and releasing her swollen ankle from their hold. She stood a little, hunched over from the pain, and limped around the room, trying to find something to aid her somehow.
The knight watched, and felt every nook and cranny for some type of hidden corridor, but it was futile, she was too tired to focus, and she fell sitting against the wall, the driest part of it. She curled and whimpered softly, trying to figure out something, although her hopes remained... for that light within Beatrix still existed. She crawled over to the window, wanting to know if Nexus and the Dragon were able to escape... if everyone else was alright...
As moments passed, she grew a bit stronger, and soon, she was able to stand, though still limp from her ankle. She was running out of time... she needed to get to Beatrix... somehow!

[glow=red,2,300]Some time later Beatrix returned, her composure regained; she cracked her knuckles and stepped out of the Corridor and looked around, finding Lady Agrias curled in a corner, whimpering in melancholy. The general simply scoffed.
"How pathetic," she muttered, dropping her hands. She marched over to where the woman lay and knelt before her, taking out a dagger and pressing it below Agrias' chin, using its point to direct the girl to look into her eye. "Look at me," she said in a seductive tone, then slapped her across the face. "You've got to say something to me, Agrias, lest I get mad." she grabbed one of Agrias' hands and ran the blade's flat end smoothly over each finger, chuckling lightly. "Would you say, Agrias, that this finger," she said, pulling up the index finger and showing it to the knight, "is your favorite? Or how about this one?"[/glow]

Agrias' eyes rolled to meet up with Beatrix's unnatural amber hue, her own eyes a dim brown from the dark one's punishment. She would cough a little, unable to breathe so well. When she starred into that eye, a force slapped hard across her face again, and the bottom of her chin was cut by the tip of the blade that held her head up. She cringed, gasping between gritting teeth.
When the General began to count her fingers, threatening to cut her favorite, she simply looked to her with strong eyes, not flinching, or showing fright at the feel of the cold blade against them.
"This has gone... long enough, Lady Beatrix..." she slurred, having lost plenty of blood. Even her hair had orange spots, since the corn-colored locks had mixed with dry blood, "Tis time to stop... this blinded madness...please...? 'Tis enough..."
She ignored the threat against her fingers, trying hard to find the knight of light again...

[glow=red,2,300]In a rage Beatrix took full grasp of the hand she threatened, gripped tight around her four fingers and held it up. Pulling back her dagger she glanced over to Agrias with a look of shame and plunged the blade into the palm's dead center, twisting it around.
When she withdrew she carelessly dropped both dagger and hand and stood up, stepping back and shaking her head.
"Look at you, staring at me with such bold determination, even when you know that it is hopeless...that light which you hold so proudly tarnishes your vision on reality. Now, allow me to shatter your delusions of grandeur--White Draw!"
Kneeling again she threw out her hand and wrapped her fingers firmly around Agrias' throat, her whole arm alight in a pale white and turquoise light; from Agrias' body the stream of magical, divine energy was visible as it coarsed through her, and Beatrix laughed wickedly while it slowly began depleting, retreating towards the same source: Agrias' neck, where Beatrix' palm absorbed the light.
When she finished and successfully performed this attack she staggered back, clutching her smoking hand to her chest and seething. She had absorbed much light and came to the realization it would be so difficult to kill the Holy Knight.
She turned around and hunched her shoulders, looming over her burning hand, growling.
"Tell me...Agrias," she whispered, nervous laughter emitting, "why is it so hard to kill you? All it would take is a clean stab through you heart...but each time, I miss...I--why, Agrias? Can you tell me?"[/glow]

The knight was surprised by the sudden hold of the hand, and also the sudden, twisting, agonizing pain at her palm, as warm, new blood squirted out of it. She yelped and cringed, the blood falling over her features as her hand was tossed carelessly to her side again... it twitched in uncontrollable pain.
"Look at you.." she heard, her hearing muffling the sounds, her body shorting out at certain intervals. Her sight would leave, only to return to a feeling around her neck, the General's hand...and then. White Draw.
Finally, the general had what she wanted, and Agrias screamed at the top of her lungs, the light that was connected to her very blood, was viciously getting ripped out of her. Her body jolted once it was over, and she felt limp, almost lifeless against the ground, crying... she was... beginning to lose it. She wanted this... to end, if it would come, until she was asked why she couldn't be killed.
With a huff, and a grunt, coughing up blood, her twisted ankles and her battered body was able to stand on her feet, leaning against the wall for support, her normal, brown eyes seeming almost soft towards the creature... of course... she was not looking towards the beast in front of her... but The True General, hiding behind it.
"Mayhaps..." she started, wheezing with every breath, "'Tis the same reason... why you spared Lady Abigail... you told her... to go, naught to get rid of her, me thinks...nay, to SAVE her from this..." she nearly stumbled, and fell forward, but she kept herself up, " You showed... and keep showing mercy, Lady Beatrix..."
The knight smiled a little, her eyes nearly lifeless as she spoke, her heart trying to hang in there...
"... If thoust truly wished to kill me... thoust wouldn't hesitate so... thoust wouldn't dance around the subject in doubt...'Tis proof... there is light within you yet... Lady Beatrix, and 'tis the light... I love...and continue fighting for... I shall not... give up on her!!"

[glow=red,2,300]Rage was all she could feel, hatred for everything, even Agrias; however, the more she thought about how much she despised her, she pondered about how much she really liked herself lately.
When Agrias spoke of the light, Beatrix felt a warmness in her heart, and heard the roaring and screaming of her inner darkness to cast it off as hogwash. Beatrix drew out her sword while Agrias spoke and brought her closed hands up to cover her ears, but nothing worked. Every word what sputtered from the bleeding mouth was heard loudly and clearly.
Beatrix' sanity was slowly spiraling out of control and things were getting hazy. After time she let out a loud scream and, when Agrias muttered her last words...
Beatrix turned, lighning fast with her blade, poised to slice horizontally across the woman's chest, digging deep into her flesh on the passage through. When her blade exited her body on the other side Beatrix snapped it like a whip, the blood flecked off and smeared the wall and floor with a thick line of blood.
Eye wide, she stared down at the quivering Agrias, trembling herself. She backed away, dropping her own sword, and pushed some stray hair away from her face and turned.
"It truly is a shame, Lady Agrias, that you won't give up on her...because she has given up on you."
Frowning, she stood there for several moments before speaking again. "It would seem that...I am unable to kill you, instead merely...harm you. This calls...for desperate measures, I think..."[/glow]

After a flicker of light from Beatrix's lightning movements, the knight's body jolted, standing there in shock and disbelief. Soon, the white parts of her dress, slowly grew in crimson color, and as she look down to her chest, her wound began to bleed, heavily and thickly, "U-ughrk...!" she choked on blood, and she stumbled a little. When she faced the woman again, her eyes were filled with tears, of pain and heart break...
Soon, her knees weakened, and she fell on them, unable to stand her own weight, she stared up at the General, disbelief still carried in her expression. The square note that rested in her chest pocket, from the sudden jolt, flew out from its resting place, and into the very pool bellow her.
"B-..be..a.." she managed to whisper, silencing afterward.
Her eyes... grew black almost, as her body fell on its side, on her own pool of blood, almost lifeless...wheezing. There was not a white spot left on her dress, as it all took a color, similar to that of Beatrix's dress... her hair would be stained with red liquid, as it also swam in the pool.
Her mouth partly opened, as she continued to wheeze roughly for air, her eyes starring particularly at nothing... the knight seemed just about ready... to return to Ivalice.

[glow=red,2,300]When the note fell she raised her eyebrow, knelt and picked it up, wiping the blood off of it and onto her dress; she stood up and drew out her iPod and called into the screen:
"Find Atticus the Fallen. Bring him to me now; I request his immediate assistance."[/glow]

Sarah's mind focused for a moment on the direction the strange creature went. Her steps followed the destruction that seemed to be all around. She could see the beach and the black creatures, unable to tell the difference between reality and the castle at the moment. When she got to the courtyard, she finally managed to get herself to notice the courtyard, where something seemed to be falling. She stood a distance away from it, uncertain of what it was.

Vivi followed Sarah quickly, hoping that Lexia, too, would follow suit; he truly did not wish to be separated from his companions right now, as he was terrified of what was happening. When they arrived in the courtyard in the wake of the loud crashing boom from a nearby tower, he stood at the piper's side and waited, curling one of his squat gloved hands into hers.

Lexia followed Sarah and Vivi after a while of looking down, spinting next to the two and going outside. She sighed and looked at the sky, and from the tall castle, it seemed as something was...falling? She rubbed her big eyes and looked around, seeing something not-too little falling from the sky.
She again covered her mouth from screaming. Wh-what is that?! She stuttered, knowing it was something alive - she could sense it somehow. She reached down and grabbed onto Vivi's hand, smiling a little reassuring smile at him.

After a moment of pleasantries from the other side of the screen in the woman's hand, it would go black of its own volition. He had literally hung up on her. Not that it mattered much, as the darkness would become tangible around her, thick and smokey as it swirled into the shape of a dark corridor, from which he would emerge. He materialized from that portal, in all his horror, a nightmare to behold and something even worse to meet.
Atticus the Fallen strode forward, the corridor disappearing with a flutter of raven wings behind him. Glowing eyes peered through the infinite black under his steepled hat, taking in the ruin of the room around him, with its fractured wall and fresh coat of paintlike crimson blood. Looking down, he saw the barely living holy knight, choking on her death rattles as she clung to life. Clearly... she wasn't broken yet.
"Charming..." he whispered, his voice coming from every shadow in this room as though he were legion. His head turned, looking to Beatrix. "Made a mess did we?" he asked, then knealt down to run his fingers gently through Agrias' soft, but sticky hair. "Is this what you called me for? I would argue that you've done your work here..." he said softly, almost soothingly, a horrible counter-point to his true nature. Upon hearing Agrias' gasps for air, he would even mutter a soft "shhh... it'll all be over soon..."
The movement of his hat would indicate his head was turned, though the wide rim would hide his visage from the Heartless General's view. "Get some air... I'll clean up in here..." he said, then slowly stood, his hand gripping Agrias' hair and lifting her off the floor by a foot or so. "That is why you called for me... yes?"

[glow=red,2,300]"It is, indeed...Atticus. Just...get rid of her."
She couldn't stand to look at the mass being hoisted up effortlessly by The Fallen; instead she turned around, that note still crumpled in her fist as she folded her arms and just waited for a moment.
"Get on with it, then."[/glow]

Pivoting, twisting in the air... they fell. Like a comet of flesh and bone, they fell from the tallest tower at top speed, clawing, biting, and roaring, the dragon, the rider, and the beast. Claws slashed, teeth gnashed, and when the inevitable finally arrived, the three crashed into the ground, forming a massive crater and dust cloud to match the massive size of the falling objects.
During the fall, the Beast had wrapped his arm around Airnose's neck, attempting to snap it upon their fall. If this was successful was anyone's guess... as for several moments there was no sound... no movement in the crater...
And then, a large shape took form inside the dust. It lumbered forward until pushing past the haze. It was not Airnose. The Beast, feral and crazed, stood tall, foamy drool dripping from his jaws, his eyes glowing red with anger and hatred. His fur was matted from the fall and bulged outward from incredibly dense muscles packed underneith. His horns were longer, sharper, as were his claws, and when he threw his arms wide and his head back, he emitted such a horrifying roar that it would shake the hearts of even those without, the force so strong that spittle would fly from his lips.
And then... with no more adeu... he rushed toward the strangers in his courtyard. Only one thought coursed through his mind as he rushed forward, darkness streaming from his shoulders and chains whipping from his wrists and ankles. "Kill."

"How will you ever dream, if you wallow in nightmares."
Sarah pulled out the Piccolo, her eyes widening as the creature came towards her. She attempted to grasp an emotion, but her mind, tired as it was, was unable to come up with the power to create something to protect her. 'Acteur!' Her thought screamed out loud, holding his Piccolo like she had held him after her nightmare.
