Just another day

A deer starts cautiously walking into a small clearing, it stops periodically to look back and forth at it's surroundings. The dear enters the center of the clearing, to nibble on some grass which happened to be growing there, on the outskirts of the clearing stood two narrowed eyes, looking directly at the deer.

Within the bushes a vixen kneeled, silently watching, waiting for the right timing. She notched an arrow in her bow, aiming, pulling it to meet her chin. Slowly she breathed, in......out.....in.....out, she took a deep breath, and released the arrow "t'chi" was all the dear would hear before "Thunk" as the arrow found it's home right in the deer.

Out of the brushes the vixen stood up and walked into the middle of the clearing. "Good shot , Lady Luna, Good shot" a rabbit came bouncing out after her. Luna looked down to the rabbit as she walked "Thank you jack," she would say nonchalantly before pulling her arrow back out of the deer. She lifted the deer over her shoulder, and began her way back the way she came in, "Lets go Jake, the camp is waiting" she said before disappearing into the bushes.

After traveling through the brush and trees, Luna and her companion exited onto a normal dirt road that traveled through the southern part of the forest. Walking allong she was soon joined by a couple others that were part of her hunting party, each with their own catch. There was a bear that decided to walk up next to her, "You alright today Luna? , cause you seem a little off" he asked. Luna kept walking as she looked to him. "It's the anniversary today Gruff" she gave him a slight glare, "Forgive me if I'm not in the talkative mood today.

This day two years prior to the day, was the day that changed Luna's life. The sheriff of Nottingham had visited the people of the forest that day, to collect taxes as he normally did, but that day he was raising the tax, so much so that some of the people couldn't pay. Her parents were some of these people. Her mother told her to stay inside while her father went to talk to the Sheriff about it. The sheriff was in no mood to "talk" that day, before long the arguing turned bad and her father found himself on the wrong end of the Sheriffs sword. Her mother in a panic ran out to her father, but didn't make it more then a couple steps before one of the Sheriffs henchman cut her down as well.

That day, Luna decided that she would change things, she would do what she needed to do. She would take the next two years and learn faster and more then what her father had taught her of archery and swordsmanship. Within those years she also would start to fight the Sheriff and his henchman whenever and wherever they decided to she themselves in the forest. That in itself is what had earned her the name "Southern Guardian"

The bear, Gruff , took the hint and dropped back to talk with the others in the group. It wouldn't be that long before they returned to their camp.By the looks of it Luna didn't want to be disturbed.

The small group walking through forest had an easy time getting back to camp. The camp was in a small sized area, but what made it hard to see and get to was the fact that the whole camp happen to be in the trees. Rope ladders and such where lowered during the day to allow people to get to the upper levels of the camp. There were about three levels in the trees, the lowest one had branches and such covering underneath it to conceal from wondering eyes.

All the huts and levels were connected by rope bridges and such. The lowest level had storage huts for food and supplies, the middle level was for housing and in the center was a larger hut made for a common area where people would come and gather. The third level had four lookout areas surrounding the camp, and in the center was the headquarters, where the leaders of the camp met to talk of future and current endeavors. Also there were huts randomly place throughout the trees. A little above the third level, one of the highest huts, in the trees, was were Luna had made her own hut.

As the group climbed into the trees, Luna made straight for her hut after dropping her deer off at the dinning hut. She entered he hut, taking off her leathers, and dropping her sword in the corner. she laid her bow and arrows off to the side of the bed and dropped onto the bed herself. After laying there for a few moments she rolled onto her side and stared out the window next to her bed. She looked a crossed the tree tops, watching as birds would fly from one tree to another. She wished for something more, she was getting bored of the daily hunting, raids and everything else that they've been doing for awhile.

The night progressed slowly as Luna laid in bed, staring at the ceiling she couldn't sleep, couldn't get the boredom off of her mind. She rolled onto her side and stared out into the forest.

For a moment she thought she saw a flicker of light in the distance. She leaned up a bit and looked to the east watch hut, and saw that no one there noticed it. She saw it again , in the same place longer and brighter. She knows she saw it this time. it was out near the stone point lake. She turned over on her bead and grabbed her gear and weapons before leaping out her window into the trees.

Luna climbed through the tree branches stopping every now and then to make sure the guys in the watch hut didn't see her, she wanted to check this out alone. She made it to the eastern edge of the camp, letting down one of the rope ladders she jump before she was even half way down and landed without kicking up any dirt. She set off down the nearest path heading out to the lake.

Arriving only a short time after the light appeared, she slowed her pace. As she got closer she started to hear voices, she wanted to get closer, so she went into a nearby bush only to find out it was smaller then she originally thought. in the end she had interrupted what one of them was saying as she had her head and front right hand poking out from the other side of the bush in the full view of the people there.

FROM CORNELIA; My kingdom for a horse

It was like a wall, the smell of the forest hit her like it was a wall she had just walked into. The heavy moist aroma filled her senses as she walked gracefully out of the rift. She wondered where they had ended up this time. three worlds , two battles and a trail so far in not so many days.The forest around her seem to burst with life, as if the forest itself was greeting them.It was pretty quiet when the arrived, save for a small waterfall in the nearby lake.

"SLAP" out of nowhere Terra smacked the back of Edgar's shoulder,"What in the world was all that you said to Jenova about, everywhere we go you just have to flirt with someone, I swear the next girl you start flirting with might just be a beast" she said as she crossed her arms and shook her head at him, as if on cue she heard some rustling in a bush near by, as she was about to grab her sword , a fox head appeared from the bush.

[King Edgar]

"Oh, Terra, I'm in love with her now, and you know it!" he declared proudly, and was suddenly smacked with a statement drilled into his head by Matron since he was a teenager:

'You're in love with everything with breasts!!!'

"Besides, she is attractive, even you couldn't say no...but perhaps, I mean you are pregnant...so I suppose you have. Hah..." it soon came to him that he was to be an uncle some day. "Oh wow...so is it a girl or boy, I wonder..."

Terra started to blush as she placed one hand over her stomach. She used her other hand to brush some hair out of her face. "Well ........ I've been told it's supposed to be a little girl........ and I'm happy about it, but i wish i could tell Sabin about it." she said while staring at the ground.

She noticed that the fox wasn't moving much, almost like it was stuck. Terra smiled a little and started walking toward the trapped animal. as she passed by Edgar, she looked at him sadly. she stopped suddenly not to far away from the fox, and turned to Edgar, rubbing her elbow, while looking elsewhere "Do.......do you think he'll be happy? I mean do you think he'll be happy that I'm the one having his child?" she asked worriedly.

Luna couldn't believe what she was seeing, two creatures were in the middle of the forest, most likely brought from that bright light she saw. What in the world were these things, they had no feather, no fur, no scales, at first Luna thought that they were type of pig or something, but they had no hoofs. She tried to pull herself out of the bush before they saw her, but it was to late, she saw the green haired one reached for her sword, and felt relief when Luna saw her relax and not draw it. Luna noticed that they were clad in armor, and had weapons of their own.

Luna tried to pull herself out again but found that the branched and such, had caught onto her clothing and armor, so at the present moment she was stuck "having his child" Luna had listened in on what they were talking about but that one stood out. So the green haired one was pregnant, and it was the other ones child......so why did they come here then? Luna tried to pull herself out again but to no avial, she had her head and right paw out of the bush while the rest of it concealed the rest of her. Luna let out out a "Sigh" and shook her head out of frustration.

[King Edgar]

"I think he'd be more than pleased, Terra. I mean, he was satisfied getting you into that predicament you're in, obviously. And he has been staying with you in Mobliz for quite some time now. I think he'll be pretty excited to find out; he's always wanted a child, you know. And though all those orphans you, Katarin and the others are raising are a lot, I personally doubt he'll love his own any less. If anything, he'll choose favorites."

Edgar chuckled, looking back to when he and his brother were children; the king had no favorites when it came to the princes of Figaro, but Edgar always, secretly, decided that he was the prize of his father's heart.

He glanced down at the fox and raised an eyebrow. "Hm? What's this?"

Terra blushed a bit at Edgar's kind words, which in turn actually raised her confidence more then it was about her fear of Sabin being displeased. She saw that Edgar had taken notice of the animal stuck in the bush. "It looks like it a fox stuck in the bush" she said as she walked over in front of the fox just out it's reach, kneeling down and reaching out to grab onto it's paw "Hello little one, do you need a hand little fox? she asked

Luna watched wearily of the green haired one coming closer to her, but seeing as tho she was being kind and all she didn't fidget much at her. "Would you like help little fox?" the girl asked. Fox did she just call me a fox?, Luna rolled her eyes "Yes actually that would be quite helpful if you don't mind. " she said as she watched the girl jerk back her hand and back up to hearing her words. Luna arched an eyebrow Did she just get surprised at the fact that i spoke.

[King Edgar]

"Ngh!" cried Edgar, shooting backwards some, giving the small young fox some breathing room. He squinted, surprised a bit that the creature spoke.

"I'm sorry...miss?" he said, and knelt down, inspecting the predicament the small animal found itself in. "Um...forgive us, you startled me, that's for sure. And I'm positive this young lady, as well. Is there anything we can do to assist you?"

Luna looked up at the duo , and thought "well at least they are polite." she squirmed a little bit more in the bush . "Sigh" "Could i get a hand, i seem to be a little stuck?" she asked

[terra]

"She ....she can speak"Terra managed to get out. she regained her composure afterward and quickly walked over to the bush."I'm sorry little fox i'll help you out" she said as she started to pull on her paw. Moments later out of the bush steps, not crawls, but steps a fox, but not just any fox , this one was as tall as her.

[King Edgar]

"What a queer sight," said Edgar, folding his arms to regard this new breed of creature; he couldn't decide what to think of the anthropomorphic fox but he did know she could be harmful later on, possibly. He slowly inched back over to Terra's side, resting a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"Come along, Terra...we have released the injured native and now we must find shelter; we've been abandoned here by Jenova and know naught of this place or when she will come to meet us. We need to rest so that in the morning my powers are completely replenished and we might be able to teleport back to Figaro Castle."

He nodded to the fox. "Is there an inn, or anything, we might be able to settle into for the night, Miss?"
