The Red Rose appeared in the skies around the magnificent Radiant Garden at around dusk. Pulling into the Gummi Garage it docked, and Beatrix' crew set about to getting to work on maintenance.
"Agrias. Abigail. Welcome to Radiant Garden."
She stood from her throne-like chair (which was more like a couch to normal people, since Her Majesty Queen Brahne had been large enough for two passengers) that sat in front of the helm, a couple inches below the platform, overlooking the front of the ship. She made a hand gesture that resembled some form of a nationalist's salute, and proceeded off the bridge. "Come along. We'll make for the Telepods, and disembark."
She led them back to the large telepods, which looked like oversized vases, and leaped in, turning into a misty bubble once more, and soon left the ship in a cloud of steam. On the air, her voice echoed.
"The Mad Clown will not wait forever, ladies. Let us be off..."

Abigail looked around, marvelling at their landing site before snapping out of it and looking to the General. This woman sure was a go-go-go kind of girl, but she didn't complain. Instead, she unstrapped herself and jumped down from her seat, chasing after their captain in an attempt to catch up. "I've never been outside of Gaia before!" she called, to both Beatrix and Agrias, though mostly hoping for an answer from Agrias. "This will be most exciting!"
With that, she stepped into the telepod room, looking up and down attempting to take it all in before she'd have to leave. She watched as Beatrix leapt into one of the vases and bam, she was on her way. Abigail... was a tad more apprehensive about it. "Uhm... is that safe?" she asked, pointing nervously where the General had disappeared. She looked to Agrias, in hopes of some reassurance that this wasn't some soul-cannon into oblivion...

Agrias seemed preoccupied with a thought, though a smile seemed idly plastered on her expression. She got out of her seat and hopped down, her cape, hair and vest flowing momentarily in her descent before she touched the ground. It was amazing how well she could move with all that armor, but such things where trifle things for the Holy Knight. Her Royal Chocobo would be mounted in the ship, incase there would be some traveling afoot.
"Hahah.." she smiled, her thoughts returning to this world again. Looking to Abigail with a curious expression, she spoke softly in her British tongue, "Thine first time ever setting eyes beyond your Home Land? Why, you remind me muchly of my princess when she first looked outside the castle walls, but I must agree, such artefacts and technology are as new to me as they are to you, and it is, how you say, exciting!"
She glanced over to Beatrix, stopping in place the moment she saw her step within the large vase-like construct, and vanishing from sight.
"Bea--!" she was about to speak, until she heard a voice from above.
"The Mad Clown will not wait forever, ladies. Let us be off..."
"...trix.." she trailed off, sighing in relief that her partner was alright. She opened her amber eyes to look at the vase-construct, smiling a little before turning to Abigail, "I shall go first, and shall see you on the other side? I am sure, there is naught a reason to worry." and with that, the knight stood in place, copying what The General had done, and vanished herself. She was strangely elsewhere, as if teleporting magic, like the skill Time Mages had to learn in her Time. Had Beatrix's kingdom mastered such a skill to make a machinery to imitate the ability? " Amazing..." she whispered, stepping out of the telepod.
The knight would remain there, next to it, to await the white mage of the group., "It is safe to proceed, there be no reason to be afraid~!" she called out to the other, hoping her words would reach.

Abigail watched in wonder as Agrias imitated perfectly the actions of the first woman to teleport. Apprehensively, she looked to the telepod and stepped inside. She had no idea how it worked, or even what she had to do, so when the door closed on its own and she was left alone in a room asking her in a metallic, monotone voice:
Input destination...
... she was vexed and confused. "Hello?" she asked, tapping the side of the machine.
Input destination...
She jumped, squeaking loudly before looking around and settling. "Uhm... Destination? I wanna go where Agrias and Beatrix went..." she said softly.
Command accepted, have a nice day!
The room exploded into light and she felt herself lifted. She was screaming the whole time until the orb dropped her right next to where Agrias was. She was on her knees, covering her head with her hands as she slowly lowered in volume until realizing she was fine. She blushed darkly at her own silliness before standing up and brushing herself off.
"Yes! Well-rather..." she coughed and walked forward, still blushing quite darkly at her actions in front of the knight and the crusader. She walked forward a bit to take in the Gummi Garage and the scenery of Radiant Garden just beyond out the windows. "Wooww..." she gasped, observing all.
"Magnificent!"

Agrias giggled a little, reaching to help Abigail after she was done screaming, but the girl managed to get up on her own, though flustered as she was. The holy knight merely shook her head, thinking how... familiar she acted. When her attention was taken elsewhere toward the beautiful view of Radiant Gardens.
"Truly a marvel..." she whispered, thinking back on her home, oh how she missed it. How she missed even her companions of battle... Ramza, and the others... and Ovelia. Princess Ovelia, how her heart ached to be so far away from her. How horrible she felt to have left her with that scum Delita, because she was rushed to battle. The Holy Knight grabbed at her chest a moment, trying to still her heart beat, until her glove touched something. The blond woman blinked, her amber eyes traveling downward to rest upon a gold crest that was wrapped around her neck with a silver chain... a gift from the Princess. Her eyes softened, and stayed transfixed on it, as if she could feel the princess through it. She grew a sad expression, feeling she was missed as well.
"Mi' Lady..." she whispered to herself...

"Yes?" Abigail asked Agrias as she said "Mi' Lady..." completely mistaking this for meaning her. She looked behind her to Agrias, blinking before walking over and looking up at her with her hands behind her back. "You seem... distracted, Miss Agrias..." she said, then noticed she was holding at her heart.
THAT'S when it smacked her right in the face. Her eyes widened and her hands shot up to her beet-red face. "Oh my gosh! You're BETROTHED!" she cried out. Okay... maybe NOT quite what the problem might have been, but her heart seemed in the right place. "I'm so sorry!!"
She turned around quickly and tried to recover herself. She felt so foolish. Bad enough that she was... bending the rules here regarding fairytale fantasies, but she had to go and get flustered over someone who clearly had another in their heart. Wow... she felt completely and utterly idiotic. She walked forward a bit, having to keep her face covered for a second before putting her hands down and taking a breath.
"I'm... sure your loved one misses you!" she said, looking off and trying not to feel shorter than an ant.

The knight left again from her little world, to return to this one, blinking a little as she starred toward Abigail, giggling a little, "Betrothed, I?" Agrias held up a hand to cover her mouth in thought, " Never had mind to do so... but a Princess, I protect back in my Home World."
She spoke softly, her eyes softening again as she starred at the sky, "Princess Ovelia, I swore my sword and shield to her... 'Tis why I found myself here...somehow. I had fought besides my Brothers at Arms against the Ultima weapon, and other monstrous beasts, doomed to fall, and have awaken here in this world. Yet, I know she is not safe-- I feel it in my heart, her misery- and I must return to protect her once more."
"I..." she thought about it, "...suppose I am betrothed to keeping my word..." The Holy knight chuckled, her amber eyes resting upon Abigail's blue hues, "and 'Tis why I will also keep it, in keeping you safe, Lady Abigail."

Really, perhaps it would be best if she just shoved her foot into her abnormally large mouth sometimes. Maybe then, Abigail might be spared the embarassment she felt on a regular basis for her assumptions. She giggled a bit nervously before coughing and looking off. Somehow, looking Agrias in the eyes put her in an odd state of being unable to say much else.
"Oh! Well... yes, that makes sense!" she laughed, then rubbed the back of her head cutely. "A knight of duty! Of course..." she looked down, fiddling with her fingers before suddenly pointing off. "OH! I think Beatrix wants us!" she said, then started walking towards the other woman.
She needed an escape before she said something REALLY embarassing. Not that her blush at Agrias' vow to keep her safe wasn't doing a fine job of that for her. She had to fan herself lightly as she approached the General, standing near her and looking up. "So, where do we go now?"

"Hm..?" The knight watched the girl nervously leave, and it made her question something, "Have I said something offensive?" she asked herself quietly, following behind Abigail to meet up with the General, who was probably waiting on the two.
She reached up to hide her crest within her armor, a light breeze hitting her face would calm her mind into knowing everything was alright. They had to keep moving forward...

Beatrix patiently waited for her allies to exit the ship, and then gave an extra moment or two for idle conversation. It was ever-so rare for that lately, what with her quest.
Your Majesty, she thought to herself. Forgive my treachery...forgive my dishonor...some day I shall return to Alexandria and protect it with my full devotion once more...
She stood alone, overlooking the scenery. Yet again, Ellis brought them to the wrong destination. She had hoped to be closeby to Villain's Vale, in the promise to herself Maleficent had to be there. But things sometimes happened for a reason.
They were at the town's entrance, out in the large stretch of earth reserved for...well, no longer wildlife.
"When you two are quite finished," she said politely, she proceeded forward. "We shall ask around, see if anyone can give us clues as to the whereabouts of Maleficent." And with that, she guided them into Radiant Garden.
"Agrias, seek out Merlin, bring him to the square. Abigail and I will search around town. There are some things I would like to discuss with our new comrade-in-arms before we go any farther." She smiled, and turned on the new girl.

"Agrias, seek out Merlin, bring him to the square. Abigail and I will search around town. There are some things I would like to discuss with our new comrade-in-arms before we go any farther."
"Understood!" Agrias spoke almost immediately at her orders, waving to them, turning in place, and looking about, seeing where would be a good place to start looking. At this point, she had no other choice but to see Beatrix as her superior, being that she comes from these lands, so the Knight must do everything in her power to follow her orders, to return home as soon as possible.
The Holy woman picked a direction, and went to it, in search of Merlin. She had heard of such a man before, even in storybooks, a famous wizard capable of many wondrous things! Of all the things she has seen on this journey, it wouldn't be surprising to find a grand wizard at such a mystical place! She spoke to civilians, asking them of Merlin and she would begin having descriptions of the one she sought: An old man with a white long beard, wearing blue, and a pointy long hat it seemed to senile NOT to find such a distinguishable figure.
The Knight travel around the town, amber eyes examining the beauty of it in her search. So many stories she wanted to share with the Princess now, it was imperative to examine every detail.
She felt closer to home already... seeking this old man.

She blinked a bit, looking to Beatrix with a purplexed expression. "Not... together?" she asked, tilting her head. "Wouldn't be best if-" she stopped, then bowed her head a bit. The thought just struck her that questioning her superior was a bad move. Especially considering she was providing a ride.
"Uhm... yes ma'am!" she said, bowing politely before looking to Agrias just before she left. She sighed softly, nodding her goodbyes for now. Not like they wouldn't see each other, but she felt... strange seperating from her. It was probably nothing, but her senses were usually fairly keen and she disliked the uncomfortable feeling she was getting. She turned once more to Beatrix, eyes wide with the hope of being useful.
"You wished to speak with me, Miss Beatrix?" she asked brightly.

"Yes," said Beatrix, her arms folded behind her back as they walked. "Abigail, I must speak to you. As you may or may not have noticed, I bear the emblem of the Heartless. The Heartless are beings born from the deepest depths of Darkness, creatures of...cataclysmic power. What we fight are...their masters, their kin. Their allies and even now, their adversaries." She frowned, and scratched her head.
"For some time when I left my home world, I served one of the most powerful forces of Darkness. Her name was Maleficent, the 'Mistress of All Evil'. And wouldn't you know it? The title was fitting. She also has a servant jester, who is one of the most frightening things I've seen next to former allies of mine."
She explained this situation for a while longer before continuing on to the next subject.
"Now I notice that you might be...experiencing some sort of...feelings, should I say? For Agrias. That...unfortunately, must be strongly urged to cease, as we have little time and relationships as close as I believe you seek to create are unwise."
She felt uncomfortable saying this, as she had fallen for her betrothed, Steiner, on the battlefield the night Kuja attacked Alexandria.
"And...as for you being so young and new. Agrias and I are Holy Knights above all. Though there will be times when I fall back into the darkness, and I assure you it is unintentional...but I will try to kill you, no doubt, as your heart is very pure, much like Lady Oaks'. You must not submit to my demands when in that state...as I will either kill you or attempt to take your heart."
She summarized most of what she wanted to discuss with the girl and took her to this shop run by three ducklings.
"Hello, boys," said the general. The ducklings ducked, and cowardly responded. "...oh yes, that's right. Fear not, my friends. I am no longer on the side of Darkness, even though I bear its mark. I am here to obtain some equipment for this girl, as well as new traveling supplies."

Abigail was quiet the whole time... listening. She was good at listening. It was what she did most of the time in the slums, to listen to the heartbroken tales of woe and loss from people who had lost their way. People so close to letting the darkness cover their lives and overtake their hearts... But she was also good at something else.
Before they entered the shop, she moved in front of her Captain and lifted a hand, placing two fingers upon the symbol the woman spoke of as she closed her eyes. "Hmm... That's odd..." she said, then smiled up at her, pulling her hand down and giving her a supporting smile. "I don't sense evil in you. Loss and pain, yes... a great amount of that... but not evil. You've lost your way, Miss Beatrix, but the night is darkest before the dawn..." she held her hands up to her own heart, attempting to share her light with the woman.
"But do not despair! No heart is alone who has friends. And yes, you may slip, you may attempt to do us harm... we are your friends first and FOREMOST. Duty to one's heart presides over duty to one's country, and as your friend... I would not abandon you in your time of need..." she nodded, then lifted a hand, her pinky out to her. "It's my promise to you! Even if you fall, I'll be there to help you back up!" She winked. "This promise extends to you and Agrias both!"
She paused... then put her hand on her hip before Beatrix could return the gesture. "As for my feelings. I won't abandon those either! To throw away our emotions is to invite the darkness, to close off our hearts and let it swallow us up..." she tapped her temple here, smiling. "I wear my emotions on my sleeves, yes... but that is my light showing itself brightly for all to see... Besides..." she sighed, then looked up, holding her heart. "There's something special about her... I find a strength in her that I lack... I feel stronger when she's around... and I've only known her an hour at best!"
She giggled, then winked. "It's strange, yes, but I trust my heart." She spun on the spot, then pointed forward. "ONWARD!" she called out brightly before entering the shop where the three ducklings were attending.
"AAawww!! CUTE!!" she cried out, before the events of their cowering. She grew concerned for them when they did, and after her captain apologized, she actually picked one up, Huey, and huggled him lightly. "Do not be afraid!" she said softly...

The Holy Knight's travels lead her to a strange opening of forest, and in front of her, a lake with what seemed to be books as a way of passage to a small island afloat in the middle of the waters. She worried a little, if she slipped, it was certain she would fall in, and the waters ran deep... not friendly when you wore so much armor.
"Oh, bugger..." she mumbled, reaching up with a gloved hand to scratch a bit at her head. "Ah hah!"
She thought of the next best thing. She found a safe spot between some bushes, and removed her breast plate, her shoulder, elbow and knee metal-pads, and hid them from sight. She would still keep her sword with her, an ally that would never leave her side.
"Great wizard, I pray that you are there!" she sighed, ad began to hop the unbalanced books, slowly but surely, making her way toward the small island.
