As the dark beam of evil travelled out of sight, the clouds above Agabah would thicken, blotting out the sunlight and casting everything in a wicked, deep red. Lightning began to crash across the clouds, though no rain poured. From the darkest depths of evil, a man would be stepping through one of the corridors of darkness... his feet touching the desert sands once more, turning it to glass with the heat radiating from him as a by-product of his unchecked power.
Jafar... was home.

By the time of his arrival, the Fallen would find Agrabah to be a wasteland. No living thing roamed these streets, nor dared the constant sandstorm of the burning desert beyond. Wooden structures were black from fires, and produce rotted where it was abandoned on the many vendors left unchecked by the fleeing masses. He walked along these empty streets... taking in the wave of destruction that had happened days before.
Looking up, Atticus looked upon the ruin of the Palace, gutted out like a fresh kill left to fester in the summer sun. Rafters were poking out from holes in the rooves, bits of wall were missing, and grand fountains had long since dried up. The only evidence of anyone having ever resided there were the discarded skeletons still wearing their royal guard uniforms, swords at the ready, laying scattered across the castle grounds.
He paused here to take it in. Here, where the grand final stand had taken place. It was clear that while Jafar was busy dealing with the guards, the people and his prey fled, the telltale signs of magical mischeif still etched on the wall from where a genie's magical backlash had made contact...
"Beautiful... isn't it...?" came the voice of the demon vizier from behind the Fallen. He floated down to rest his feet on the ground, still twitching this way and that from his shaky (at best) hold on reality.
Atticus slowly turned, looking to the other man and nodded softly. "You are an artist..." he muttered, the compliment seeming somewhat forced. "You are needed... at the Altar."
"And should I refuse to go...?" Jafar whispered, his voice booming despite his lack of energy in the delivery. The area around him began to heat up, as though ready to attack the dark one. Atticus, however, would simply hold a hand up and wave it lightly, causing Jafar to double over in severe pain.
"Let's not forget... I created that body of yours... I possess the power to take it away..." Atticus muttered, walking up and placing a hand on the man's shoulder lightly. "I think you'll make the right decision..." he said, walking past him and allowing the darkness to solidify once more.
Jafar huffed a little, growling. "Alright... I'll do you this... little favor... but afterwards, no more..." he hissed, then threw his arms up and in a blast of black fire, he was gone...
Atticus stood on the spot, his hands coming together. "That is all I ask..." he muttered, then stood silently a moment... collecting his thoughts...

Atticus turned his head slightly, sensing a congealing of darkness nearby. Adjusting himself, he watched as a black screen appeared, revealling the face of Beatrix beyond.
"Ah... our fearless general..." he muttered, observing the odd amount of blood not belonging to her on her features. "Keeping busy, I see..." he added.
"How may I be of service, my dear...?"

Atticus nodded slightly, then waved a hand dismissively through the screen. "Very well... a minor distraction..." he muttered, then turned in place to walk through a corridor... and make his way to this castle...

***From Her Journey Part 1, in Sherwood Forest***
Oooof!
Crashing on a large patch of rubble, which seemed to once be a home of some sort, crafted from the finest material what could be assembled in desert climates. Edgar's face was half crushed into sand, the warm winds flying over his back, his braided hair caught up in it.
Sitting up he brushed the sand from his face and spit out what had crept in, and looked around. Here, too, it was dark; the sun had been blotted out, only a ring of light showing in the night sky, and even that was barely visible. Was this Figaro? No...it looked different, smelled different.
Lifting his head up to stare at taller, more farther away surroundings he caught the eye of certan, orb-like shimmers off the dim ring in the sky...a palace? Above this shadowed structure were black and near-black red clouds booming with thunder and had lightning streaking through every couple of seconds.
"What a frightful, dismal place," he said aloud, feeling around the rubble and sands in search for Terra.

his msile.......... she was watching his smile.......... Sabin's smile for some reason always made her smile too, they could be surrounded by monsters attacking the town, but when she saw his smile, sahe felt like there was no worries to be had. Terra stared at Sabin's eyes, but they were fading like an image into a a haze
"Sabine......Sabin ....no ...don't go Sabin......." She called out Terra stirred and sat up straight up "Woah woah woah there girl , don't go hurting yourself more." Terra looked up to see a rather plump Lady in lose clothing"wha.... huh " Terra said groggy. She looked around and saw that she was in a pile of pillows in the corner of, what looked like an almost clay like building. She saw a couple of scantily clad girls looking out one of the rooms large covered windows. "are they belly dancers?" she thought to herself.
"Lay back deary" the plump woman started out, "You had yourself a nice fall not to long ago, lets not have you get hurt more then you are" she said as she turned to pull a blanket of a shelf nearby Not many of us girls left , you know.....Girls get back from that window!" she said as she covered Terra up, Terra just laid back onto the pillows groaning a bit from the sudden soreness she felt from parts on her body.

If there is but one central theme to this tale, it is this: timing is everything. Everything has boiled down to this simple fact over and over, and the return of this world's destroyer was no different. He had only just finished his business in the World That Never Was, and now was ready to settle into his dystopian home. Like a volcano in the streets, fire would erupt upward in the center of the marketplace, ushering forth the appearance of one of the Masters of Darkness... the dark wraith of of past... Jafar.
Turning this way and that, his body contorting involuntarily at strange intervals, he observed his ruined world, his black lips curling into a cruel smile. "Be it ever so humble..." he whispered, though his voice boomed like an all-knowing presence, a God in a way. God of the Desert... it had a good ring to it. Turning slowly, he would begin his way toward the castle, choosing to walk the way now that the skies were darkened and the fact that this was HIS world was now beyond contestation...
Timing. It just so happens, that this took place just after Edgar had fallen into the streets and Terra someplace else. Jafar... was unknowingly closing in on an intruder...

[glow=Yellow,2,300]***From Her Journey Part One, in Sherwood Forest***
At first it was just a black streak of lightning, zip-zapping its way between the red-black clouds high in the sky, but then a blaze of blue and white fire would spin into existence, tearing through the thick evil storm-makers, creating a cyclone that emitted not just seering heat, but also chilling cold as well as mouth-drying electric air. A loud, maniacal cackle would boom through this mass of power, and naught but two glowing eyes and a lighted Heartless emblem could be seen through it all.
Tearing through lower Agrabah searching for his prey, the Heartless Harlequin would conjure throngs of Heartless to seek them out in the smaller, hidden reaches his twister had missed on its rampage. In the far distance he saw another large mass heading to the palace and, with an indignant huff began following Jafar, believing that he was responsible for something not yet confirmed. Did he sweep up his victims?
"You there!" cried out the horrifying, darkness-amplified voice of Kefka, pointing through his fires towards this Arabian land's new ruler. "How dare you sieze opportunity from between my fingers!?"[/glow]

Eyes lifted skywards would be Edgar's saving grace. This moment of distraction would provide ample time for him to make a clean getaway while the wraith dealt with an intruder of an entirely different kind. He turned, seeing Kefka appear. This... did not make him pleased. The flames from his eyes flickered, and the heat of the arid desert air around him would increase a thousand fold, warping the images and burning away anything combustible.
Lifting his arm with staff held high, Jafar slammed it downward. The force of impact would create a massive shockwave, accompanied by the massive sound-barrier-shattering KRAKTHOOOM of a thunderclap. Buidlings around him would crumble, and collapse, the dust flying but in a circle around him would instantly burn away to keep him in focus. As he stepped, his footfalls would leave firey tread in his wake. He was advancing on Kefka.
"How dare I??" he demanded, his voice cracked and spectral, his body twisting and contorting at odd intervals as he walked. He climbed atop a pile of rubble, pointing his staff at the other Master of Darkness, clearly displeased. "I don't know what you're prattling on about, but this is MY realm, clown! You will show proper respect to me here, just as you do for that inane fairy in the World That Never Was!"
His voice fell silent, but the radiating power around him spoke for him. He wasn't about to tolerate even the slightest show of disrespect here...

When the eyes of seemingly everything around him seemed to transfer upon the newest threat to this realm, Edgar used it as an opportunity to scurry off like some tiny creature in hiding, all while searching for his future sister-in-law. He whispered her name as he trekked through each pile of rubble, hoping that she would be alive and conscious enough to answer. When the wraith, however, cast a shock wave throughout the city he was knocked forward, into another building nearby, where he fell unconscious. Ugh.
[glow=Yellow,2,300]Emitting an ear-piercing howling cackle, the mad clown brushed away any amount of debris that just happened to fly his way with the power of his multi-elemental cyclone. Jafar advanced, and Kefka--along with this creation of his--strode forward, as well, to meet him head-on.
"Tch, I give my loyalties to none other than myself. Maleficent is simply the one I must stay close to in order to get an even tighter grasp around the others later. Once I'm ready, you will all be bowing to me as I create the ultimate monument to non-existence."
Another cackle and his hands alighted with more blue fire, and should the wraith attack, he'd be ready.[/glow]

Jafar seemed undaunted by Kefka's little... rant. In fact, the wraith simply twitched in his convulsive way before taking another step, blinking out of existance for a microsecond before appearing right in Kefka's face. His staff came up and pressed against his chest. Not enough to do damage, but enough to be sure he was there.
"I care nothing for your non-existance or your monuments that can't be based on the very foundation of your ideals..." he growled at the clown, his eyes flickering madly. "Get. Out." he warned one last time, then turned his back on Kefka to begin walking toward the palace...
Your move, clown.

Terra suddenly sat up abruptly when the shock waves were sent around the area because of Jafar. She got up off the ground and walked to the covered windows. "What happened?" she ask.
The girls in the room instantly looked terrified "He's back, That scoundrel of a man is back, Jafar has come back" the girls said one after the other
Terra pulled one of the covers back a bit and looked out the window and saw who they were talking about, but she herself swallowed hard, because who he was talking about was none other then Kefka!! Terra started to breath heavily as she stared up at the sky. The dust from before had started to settle when something caught her eye, there was a piece of blue cloth waving in the wind down on the ground, not to far from them, but it didn't look like it was moving.
"Edgar!" Terra blurted out, and stated to make her way to the door of the building.
"Who?" two of the girls said in unison
"He's my friend that I've been traveling with. I got to go get him" she said as she opened the back door.
"Well your not going alone deary, and in your state i don't think you'll be of much help moving him" said the big woman as she stepped forward behind Terra. "Now girls keep out of sight and keep the door locked till we get back" she said to the girls, and with a slight nod they left the building.
Out in the streets it was different, there were no people, no animals, no nothing. Slowly the two made their way through the buildings and alleyways until they came up to the side of the building she saw the cloth at. Terra peered around the corner and saw Edgar unconscious lying on the ground. She looked up quickly at The two in the sky and saw that they were busy with each other to notice them. With a mention to the lady Terra help pick up Edgar onto the lady's broad shoulders.
Seeing as tho the dust was beginning to completely dissipate Terra placed a had on the lady's back and placed one on her own chest, and after a moment "Vanish" she whispered as the three of them seem to disappear from sight. Quickly they made their way back the way the came to the room from before, with a couple of quick knocks the door opened. Afterward Edgar was placed in the bed that Terra was in before, as she went to the window to watch the two in the sky. Low and behold the girls in the room instantly went to Edgar's side and watched him as he slept, giggling from time to time.

[glow=Yellow,2,300]Jafar had made a faster-than-lightning move, a rather useful ability given to those who chose darkness over light, and appeared only inches from the mad clown's face, his snake staff pressing into the Heartless crest emblazoned on his chest. What he said somewhat went in one of Kefka's ears and out the other, and when Jafar turned on him to pass through his magical storm the harlequin chuckled.
"Only one who understands less than a snail could possibly come up with something so silly," he said between snarls, his nostrils flaring and puffing out steam. His palms alight once more Kefka lobbed a massive fireball borne from them to the side of the wraith, allowing it to blow to pieces a nearby building.
"And...turn on me again, Jeff, and I'll make sure that you meet the post office's same fate. Kwee-hee-hee!!!"[/glow]
