While the mayhem below continued, the Fallen would receive the benefits of being part of something far greater than oneself. As he watched with mild interest the workings of the world on ground level, he held out his arm to let it contort back into its rightful shape while lesser heartless known as Mushrooms tended to his clothing and the few wounds he had.
For a brief moment, his coat would be removed to reveal a glimpse of the twisted sinews of the monster which was barely concealed behind that layer of cloth. No sooner had this horror been allowed a moment in the fresh air was it again covered by the deception of that gentleman's covering. The hand which was once ripped into the shape of a claw once more possessed five digits and was covered by a glove which bore their symbol. He sighed softly, feeling more himself now as he stretched his arm and looked down once more.
From this vantage point, he could see at least two battles. One was between the Judge and one of the Masters, featuring a face he had not seen before yet seemed to be rather tied to the darkness his kind revered. However, this was not the war he was interested in. Far off, there was another taking place. Attra had finally lured his other half here. Theirs was a fight intended to bring an end to a threat he knew was coming. However, it also was a distraction for another of their kind, for whom he had another goal to assign.
Lifting a hand to his head, Atticus touched his shaded temple and sent a message out to Orestes...

Kim didn't wait for MeadowSong to take the offensive. It may not be the most heroic thing in the world, but she had learned that when it came to hand-to-hand combat, you had a far better chance of ending the fight if you're the one who made the first strike. She leapt forward, making it seem like she was about to charge the woman when she suddenly leapt upward and summersaulted over her head, attempting to land a kick on the way over.
Landing behind, Kim then swept her leg out instinctively. She was trying to trip the woman, completely forgetting (because she was standing on the ground) that she had wings to prevent from falling. Still, it was a viable attack, and if nothing else she could maybe damage the woman's knees or something. She didn't stay long, either. Rolling forward swiftly, she made it a point to stay out of the danger zone of MeadowSong's claws.
She quickly popped up, spinning to face the Black Fairy. She needed to see how effective she was being, so she could re-adjust her tactic as needed, maybe come up with a strategy for dealing with this thing. In the meantime, she'd settle for witty banter to keep MeadowSong nice and enraged so she'd make more mistakes in a fight. "Girl, with that complexion, 'radiant' isn't the word I'd pick!" she called, smirking.

[glow=Purple,2,300]Not one who usually engaged in physical contact during battle, she was quite alarmed when she missed with one of her swipes and the teen hero somersaulted over her head, landing a hard kick on her crown, snapping her head back. She hovered a second later, making Kim's trip attempt fail miserably.
Turning fast she rubbed the side of her head and glared the girl down, a sudden wind picking up around her slightly, her hair blowing in every direction as MeadowSong raised her arms.
"How dare you! You would insult me? ME!?" Her hands shot forward and from each clawed fingertip the Black Faerie launched a series of lightning bolts directed at the acrobat, even venturing closer to the hero.
"You will be sorry..." she repeated.[/glow]
Meg continued her assault, closing in on Hercules rather quickly, even managing to fall into the ground and coast along as a shadow, until she reached his leg and slithered up its length, winding around his waist and finally reaching his neck.
Once she arrived at the destination she crept from the shadow and drove her nails into his shoulders, her fangs poised to taste his neck. There was oozy darkness pouring out like a polluted fall between those teeth, and soon the demigod would realize it was miasma.
"Yeerrprr jehhebgrt!" it raged, attempting still to dig into the man's impenetrable flesh.

Lightning. No big. Really, when you stop to think about it, it's not much different from lasers. Kim ducked and dodged this way and that, summersaulting and cartwheeling with cheerleaderish acrobatic skill. Easy for a teen superhero! She made her way toward MeadowSong, coming up with a plan of attack as she did.
Dropping to a slide when she was within range, Kim Possible moved expertly between the floating fairy's legs, quickly adding some plastic explosive from her hip pouch to one of them as she passed. Now, she'd have to run for cover, as the accumulation of MeadowSong's electricity just before an attack would be enough to ignite the explosive. It was low-impact, intended for combat, not demolition, so it shouldn't be fatal even if it packed one heck of a punch.
As she ran, she heard Hercules calling, and returned. "How am I supposed to know?" she answered, genuinely unsure how to use magic. "Just wave it at her or something!" she finished, then ducked behind the still-sleeping form of Pete. Here, she'd have to enrage MeadowSong yet further to make sure she made the next attack.
"Oh, I already am sorry! Sorry you're so outmatched!" she teased, hoping this would be enough to get her to unwittingly ignite the putty.

[glow=Purple,2,300]She was quick, and MeadowSong was rather surprised she'd let herself be taken so easily back in Middleton that day. She chuckled, continuing to lob fireballs the teen's way. However, she drew back when the girl slithered through her legs, rose higher into the air and listened to her comeback.
"Gggrrrr! I shall teach you!" Throwing out an arm she launched another trail of electricity, unintentionally sparking the explosion Kim counted on. "Graah!" She became lost in a cloud of smoke; for some reason this didn't injure her, only irritate her. She was blown back some, and roared in fury.
"Heartless! Rise, and serve your queen!" she cried, conjuring up several creatures from the shadows.[/glow]

***From Pulp Fiction***
High above the white-silver castle where, a short time before, all was peaceful, a corridor would emerge. At the top of the tallest tower, at the Altar of Naught, a figure would emerge. Muscular, dark, and accompanied by a small troop of heartless Soldiers, his body still steaming waves of pure darkness.
Orestes, the Lost One, would kneel before his Master, Atticus the Fallen. After receiving his transmission, he had made all haste through the blackness to come to the World that Never Was. The Altar stood, bleak and gray stone, but none of those details mattered to Orestes. His mind echoed one word: SERVITUDE.
"What is thy bidding, my Master?"

Atticus slowly turned to face the small battalion behind him. A small sigh escaped him as he saw Orestes cowtowing once more. He knew he held some slight form of authority among the heartless, but he never intended to give the illusion that he was anyone's "master". Merely... the one who knows best for them. Walking over, he gestured for Orestes to stand, placing his hands on the muscular heartless' shoulders as he did.
"I have told you more than anybody that we are not master and servant, but brothers united by a single cause..." he whispered through the darkness, coming from everywhere though he stood less than two feet before the man. "And while for a time being, we have donned the roles of student and teacher, it is time to move beyond this association..." Atticus let go of Orestes' arms, and lifted a hand to remove the chain which was wrapped around his right shoulder. It held a double-purpose, this chain, one to contain the darkness within Atticus himself, and two to show rank. With it removed, his form seemed more oppressive without changing, as though darkness itself were flowing into the hearts of all around him. Fear, shock and awe, all the overwhelming emotions that oppress the world just radiated from him like an aura.
He held this chain in front of him a moment, looking to Orestes as he did. "I sent you to Wonderland for a simple reason..." he stated, knowing that Orestes would expect the worst for his supposed "failures" there. The Fallen continued as though he didn't notice. "It was to hone your skills... craft you, forge you into a more effective creature. You've experienced near-death, closer than most will ever see. You had the will to survive, to do anything to keep your existance, and that is a quality of a leader..." Stepping forward, Atticus wrapped the chain loosely around Orestes' right shoulder, locking it in place and holding back some of the monster's darkness, allowing him to think more clearly, more precisely. "Qualities... which the Harbinger requires..." Atticus added, then took a step back. "I surrender my title as captain of the Heartless Battle Fleet flagship, The Harbinger. She's yours, Orestes... and so is your first mission..." Waving a hand, Atticus summoned a shadowy image of the Red Rose, which played back the moment it escaped the Battle Fleet over the Jidoor Opera House. "This ship has been a consistant thorn in our side ever since the Harbinger was damaged by the one called Agrias Oaks. I want it... and everyone on it... destroyed." He turned, his arms crossing behind his back as he looked out over the mayhem below.
"Turn them... or kill them. I don't care which. You have your orders... Captain Orestes."

Okay... magic. Wonderful. Herc knew how to handle magic, right? ... Right? He struggled a bit with the staff, using it more as a standard weapon for the time being. He was able to keep Meg off a for a bit, until she started using the shadows like a standard Heartless. He growled a bit when she grabbed him from behind, trying to claw at him. "Meg, come on!!" he pleaded, trying to get her stop on her own.
"Please forgive me for this..." he said when she wouldn't let go, and rammed himself backward into the wall, trying to knock her off. Whether she let go beforehand or let go when the impact took her it wouldn't matter, because the second her grip was lose, he'd roll free.
Holding the staff he growled a bit, then closed his eyes to focus. He poured his light into the staff, siphoning of his aura in order to charge it up. Lucky for him it worked, unlucky for him it meant he was vulnerable again. He'd have to wait till she got closer as well, because he didn't know how many times he could do this. Readying himself, he prepared to unleash his light through MeadowSong's staff, hopefully producing a purifying spell...
...if it hits.

Orestes stood stock still, kneeling before his Master, but as Atticus lifted him slowly and reminded him that they were brothers sharing a common goal, he nodded, his eyes locked firmly onto the other Heartless' yellow orbs. They were brothers. This was their crusade to make the world a better functioning home for their bretheren.
Comeraderies aside, Orestes paid attention as Atticus let him know that his failures in Wonderland would go unpunished. Orestes was almost aghast...how could this be possible? But then Atticus revealed that it was merely a test of his will and tenacity. He had faced death, and still come out on top...
Atticus explained to him that those were the qualities of a leader...Orestes' head was spinning. He felt a changing in the air around him. Something big was happening, and he was about to be a part of it. And then Atticus removed the chain from around his shoulder.
Darkness flared out as the elder Heartless' power was momentarily unsheathed, and even Orestes took a step back as he felt just a fraction of the deadly energy that swirled within his teacher and brother. His hands began to tremble as Atticus approached him again. Perhaps it was Judgement Time for his past failures...?!
And then the power ceased. Atticus was back to normal. Orestes felt his presence draw nearer, and he hesitated, opening one eye to witness his teacher placing the chain around his own shoulder. The reality of the situation sunk in. Orestes was receiving a promotion in rank!
Atticus called him by his new title, Captain Orestes, and the heartless fought for several moments to contain his joy and gratitude. All of the possibilities stretched out before him, but he snapped his mind back to the present. His teacher was still speaking to him...his first mission.
"I surrender my title as captain of the Heartless Battle Fleet flagship, The Harbinger. She's yours, Orestes... and so is your first mission...This ship has been a consistant thorn in our side ever since the Harbinger was damaged by the one called Agrias Oaks. I want it... and everyone on it... destroyed."
As the image of the ship, the Red Rose, was called up, Orestes nodded firmly. So his first mission as Captain of the Harbinger was to destroy some insects that threatened the safety of the Brotherhood. But one look at the ship told him that it would not be easy. He'd need firepower...lots of it.
"Turn them... or kill them. I don't care which. You have your orders... Captain Orestes." Atticus had crossed his arms and was watching over the fighting going on below. Orestes merely nodded his head, stepping forward once more to clasp his brother on the shoulder.
"Very well, Atticus. I am grateful for the position you have given me. I will do our Brotherhood proud." And with that, he snapped his fingers, summoning open a portal which he stepped through. As the corridor took him through the fringes of darkness, he emerged at the end of a massive presence.
Realizing that it was the Harbinger itself, he fine-tuned his senses, feeling the life force of thousands of Heartless tending the massive ship. As he walked up to it, a platform extended from its sleek, silver and purple sides, and an elevator lowered with a Heartless escort on board.
Stepping atop it, Orestes was soon inside the main Control Room at the head of the ship, and as his chain caught the light, all the Lieutenants and Corporals bowed low. Orestes held his hands out, beckoning for them to rise. He felt empowered, but he would not gloat his new position.
"Lieutenant, you there." Orestes pointed to a bulky heartless that was regarding schematics. "Show me what other ships the Harbinger can have accompanying it into battle." After spending a few minutes poring over the details, Orestes gave the signal, and the massive ship rose into the air, the hangar doors opening wide.
Following the Harbinger into battle were hundreds of small ships, Stingers. Their pointed ends and lightning-fast flight would make his hyperspace jump that much easier. The bulky Carriers were holding more Stingers, and his Tactics Station rose into view behind the Harbinger. Seven Destroyers brought up the rear.
Orestes called out to the Fleet, telling them to prepare for a jump to Hyperspace. The bridge shook slightly, then the trees, grass, stone, and other fixtures turned to oily, thick lines as the ships blinked out of existence for all those watching. Traveling through space at an incredible speed, Orestes grinned.
"Time to pay the Red Rose a little visit..."
***Over the Gummi and through Hyperspace, to "Cruisin' for a Bruisin'" we go!***

No sooner had Orestes taken his leave than Atticus felt the painful presence of the Bane of All Heartless. His hand lept to his temple, growling as the pain of its existance hit him. He glared into the air, in the general direction of its appearance. Orestes could handle the Rose... He'd handle this...
Disappearing via corridor, he went after Shego like an enraged lion...

To Gabranth's surprise, it was not Hercules that had pulled him from his slump in the hole. Talos, an accomplice of this new comer to the battlefield. Though the small relief would be short lived once the creature of ink spoke.
"Let us see your true face, Magistrate!"
The creature raised his arm once again to the air only to reveal a blade at the end. Once he began his swing, Talos was called off. This was to the advantage of the Judge. Being dropped so suddenly through him off the direct path of the blade swing. A loud chink was heard. Sparks and chunks of iron flew a short distance, as Gabranth spun around to his hands and knees. Pieces of his visage dropped to his hands on the ground. Blood soon followed.
His helm began to loosen, as a large gap now revealed bits of Gabranth's face. His brown hair waved through the light wind, it would show the streaks of blood that were dripping down his face. His left eye showed a slight daze, which would soon fade. He grabbed hold of his swords and climbed to his feet. Small pieces of iron still falling from his helm.
He turned, now looking at a small army of metal soldiers between him and the creature he had been fighting. Gabranth thrust a sword to the ground, the other pointed to Blot. He shouted at the creature with a condescending tone. "Have you no pride!?" Gabranth then pulled the rest of his visage off and dropped it to the ground. It made a loud, heavy chink when it hit. His face, now open for all to see. "Would you let some dog interfere in your fight!? What could shame hope to prove!?"
His second wind would start to flourish. Using this time to turn the creature against the interruption. Still unknown as to what he was capable of, this seemed like the best option. Grabbing his swords, he now stood swords at his side. Awaiting for the next move.

Meg's wraith-like form slithered around the battlefield closest to Hercules, clawing and biting whenever given an opening; she was feral as any Heartless conjured nearer to MeadowSong and Kim, and she seemed to truly want this demigod destroyed.
Her empathic link with MeadowSong panged as the queen's orders were given, and she grew more furious as the link strengthened, the dark, invisible chains surrounding her tightening.
"Heherrcybeles!" it cried after being crushed into the wall, its mouth oozing with inky blackness as it fell to the cobblestone to regain its footing. A roar emitted, and soon one of its eyes widened, a bleeding strand of string protruding from a crack in the socket's side. Reminiscent of the Fates' Eye, no doubt Hercules would recognize both it and the slowly-growing thread she took between her claws.
[glow=Purple,2,300]Still awaiting the arrival of her minions, the queen took a side glance towards her abomination and grinned. "Take him away, my pet! Give him to Hades as my treat! Hahahaha--huh!?"
Soon power would flood from the demigod and into Faeries' Wrath, and the Queen of Heartless knew what was coming. She rose high into the air, smacking away anyone who dared get near with a blazing sleeve of fire.
"I told you..." she intoned darkly, her glowing eyes brightening, her sharpened claws smoking darkness, and her palms glowing with rage-filled black fire.
"No one dares oppose me! Me, the Mistress of Darkness!"
But then it happened; the demigod discharged the faerie's sceptre, launching a beam of radiant light--which the queen saw, due to the darkness acting as shade around her body--and smashed Meg once again into another wall, tearing away one of her wraith-like arms and a leg, revealing smokey tendrils entwined around pale flesh, glowing eyes blinking all over the creature's body. Another roar, and the creature fell, quivering on the ground in a battle between its body and possessor.
"Get up, get up, get up!" roared the queen, raising one arm and, by extension, telepathically hoisting up the beast-Meg.
"KILL HERCULES!!!" she bellowed, and turned her attention back to the teen hero. "Now, my pet...let us continue."
The abomination, posessed by the queen, stood up, its newest movements very similar to that of a zombie as it advanced on the "hero", its darkness pouring from its being like a tainted falls.[/glow]

Hercules gasped a little when he saw Meg produce a thread of life. He tensed, but thankfully his attack would hit home. Or rather... home enough? It seemed to peel back some darkness, but not all, and he could see some semblance of Meg beneith. He frowned, then charged up his glow once more.
"Alright, Meg... I'm going to save you!" he called to her, chanelling his power into the staff. "Just stand still while I peel away the layers!" he called, then leapt to attack, using any chance she pulled out a thread as an opportunity to strike!
========================================= (this part is from Abby!) Kim ducked and dodged the swiping arm, gasping as it came rushing by her. She was able to twist under it, rolling backward to avoid the attack while MeadowSong was somewhat distracted by Meg's attack.
"Come on... think..." Kim whispered to herself, trying to think of a way to get past that fire arm. Lucky enough for her, there was a nearby bucket of water which was used by prisoners to clean up. She ran and grabbed it so that as soon as MeadowSong went to look to her... she'd throw the water onto her!
"Cool off, queeny!" she called, then slammed the emptied bucket over the woman's head, attempting to temporarily blind her...

The Phantom Blot would tilt its head back and laugh, the sound like something of a dying man in a vast lake. It would whip its arm again, attempting to sever a leg from the man. "You idiot! This is not a fight! This..." he swung the other arm, creating a second swinging pendulum which Gabranth must dodge.
"IS AN EXECUTION!!!" it shrieked, its voice high-pitched and monsterous.

Roaring in response to Hercules' promise to her she yanked free another length of thread and her other hand transformed into a deformed pair of scissor-like claws. A beastly chuckle and the chompers began clamping down on this glowing bit of thread, chomp chomp chomp; to a demigod it would be mostly useless in killing him, but it would at least injure him as she struck vital points on the thread.
And then Hercules pounded forth; apparently the effects were not as immediate as previously thought. Meg went hurling into a wall once more, having been knocked back with Faeries' GLOWING Wrath and cracked it enough to fall somewhat through to a new room. The beast staggered quickly trying to regain its footing and pounced forward, its teeth bared and ready to sink deep into the demigod's ankle.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[glow=Purple,2,300]As the bucket of water was tossed onto the queen's head and she was doused somewhat of her immaculate flames and balled her hands into fists of rage. Beneath the bucket her voice boomed, but not unaudible, as she spoke not only through her own dark lips but through the mouths of countless shadows lingering in her aura.
"You think me a simple, weak-bodied wicked witch, girl?!" cried MeadowSong, burning away the concealment that was this bucket and gave a mighty chuckle.
"Fame and power are not always friendly, Miss Possible," she said darkly, her eyes bright with the violet glow once more. Her hands erpupted once more into flame and from them she summoned a massive ball of fire, lobbed it forward and hoped for the best. "I will end that path for you now!"[/glow]
