The creature pressed her face against that cold, yet comforting armor of the man, and she rested her hands there as well, her desperate cries continuing; her whole form would shiver in his hold, and his warmth was dreadfully welcomed. Tears would roll down her cheeks and fall upon the smooth steel, her mind racing with memories of her past.
Ultimecia was the one who taught her of crystals and times... she was there to protect her from bullies... she was there to comfort her when she cried... a mother of sorts who cared for her as a child. The beautiful woman had realized why the opening of Kingdom Hearts felt so insignificant...
Jenova look up to him, her eyes never looking so hopeless...so weak before. She had never felt so weak before before whispering, " My... my promised land..." another tear would fall, "... the true promised land... it's gone...." her voice cracked on the last bit, "Oh, Garland-- Oh, Garland I couldn't do anything!!" she cried against his armor.
Griever was silent through this... grieving on his own as he rested there still, next to Jenova's knee.

Garland held the weeping Jenova in his arms, trying to comfort her as best he could. He heard of the one she wept for, and how she felt so powerless, and struggled to find some kind of answer. After a moment of considering, Garland slowly stood, pulling Jenova to her feet.
"There may yet be something..." he said, then nodded off toward the north. "Follow me..." he instructed Jenova, and began to travel toward the woods with her. It wouldn't take long, their journey, and they would find themselves outside the Temple of Fiends, where Jenova first arrived with the others. Garland marched up the steps, not concerned at all for the dark legends of this place.
"I once studied the dark arts... and there is a secret here..." he muttered, leading Jenova into the Temple, right up to an old altar before a broken mural of some kind. Looking to her, he watched for a reaction.
"Here..." he said, then lifted a hand to brush away two millenia of dust from the shattered stone. On it... was an image of Ultimecia. "This is a gateway to the past... two thousand years, to be exact. I believe I know how to activate it, but I'm not sure... something to do with the Princess' lute..."

The girl after a few moments calmed herself and stood up. She was about to move before she felt a soft tap at her foot. Griever rested there... and Jenova reached down to store it in a safe place, while introducing herself quietly, and whispering sweetly to calm it.
"Don't worry... I'm sure she will keep her promise."
Jenova followed closely afterward, watching the strong and gentle man lead. How his cape would flow with every step, and how quietly he advanced through the forest even with wearing all that armor. She didn't feel alone with this man, and she had never felt so comfortable with anyone else, except her caretaker... but this man was different from her and anyone else...
He led her to a Castle, which was familiar to her from early travels, and they went inside with ease. Her purple hues gazed at their decaying surroundings. A place of legend...an old place.
The unversed stopped in place at the sight of the mural, where a sculpture of Ultimecia was cracked and worn out. She walked to it, gazing to the image and recalling the woman that helped her with her memories. She frowned a little, listening to Garland speak, but her attention was still upon the statue.
"Two thousand years..." she muttered, "... Princess' Lute--" she paused, and looked back to the iron giant. So kind he had been, and she had yet to help him on his mission. She closed her eyes in deep thought, before looking to him with a soft smile. Jenova now made her way closer to him, and rested a delicate hand on his chest plate, "... Time and Lute can wait..." she sighed, trying not to get too ahead with her panic and sadness. She reached up to scratch a little at her neck with her free hand, where the memories of that man rested. She made a note to take care of this later as well.
"First... comes your destiny." She whispered, her eyes softening when they starred into those gold orbs within the mask .

Garland nodded softly, his eyes searching hers. He wanted to be her knight... he wanted to show her that he could provide for her the promised land she felt lost forever to herself. Maybe by fulfilling their scheme... he might just do this? "Right..." he said, looking back to the castle. With a wave of his hand, he attempted to create a corridor...
And lo, did one appear! Garland was beginning to take hold of the darkness in his heart and make something tangible of it. The feeling was intoxicating, yet strangely natural to him. Looking at his hand a moment, he balled it into a fist and let it fall to his side, his eyes travelling back to the warmth of Lady Jenova's own. "Once we kidnap the princess... we can return here. No one would dare follow us to this place... and perhaps we can retreive what is yours in the process?"
He hated it. His heart ached and protested it. But Ultimecia was this girl's promised land... as badly as he wanted it to be himself, he was greedy only for her happiness. Whether this was because of his own feelings or her cells... was anyone's guess. Taking Jenova's hand... he lead her through the corridor... and back to the castle, just outside the doors to Princess Sarah's bedroom.

Jenova followed the titan quietly, her eyes set on the back of his helm, wondering what was so alluring of him... his support? his dedication? His lust for power...
...power.
It was then when her mind turn dark, still feeling vengeful for all that had happened. Atticus wished for power, her power, and in the end she did not take a hit toward the promised land, and to make matters words, he TOOK the life of the true promised land. Her violet orbs glowed within the corridors, her mind racing-- time imposing images of the far future which would start everything again and again. Her eyes widened at a realization.
"To be a king, is to have power over all..." she muttered in the corridor hall, "... but how much power would you need to take over a king? Have you thought about how much power you wish?"
It was after these words that they found themselves in front of the Princess' Room. She continued to watch him, wondering if he was curious.

Garland paused a moment, considering the question posed to him. He lifted a hand to think on this, wondering... "Why do I want to be king...?" he asked himself, then lowered his clawlike gauntlet as he thought aloud.
"This world... is full of idiots without vision. We aimlessly run about in circles attempting to maintain a foolish status quo when we could be greater. There were civilizations, you know, so great and powerful that they collapsed under their own technological might... But I could do better. I could bring the world into a new enlightenment. I could rule everything more efficiently, more perfectly than our current so-called superiors dream of doing for one small patch of our great world. I could, and I will. It starts by taking Cornelia, which is but a kidnapping away from being a reality. Then I'll send my armies into the other lands and demand they relinquish their monarchy. When all is under my dominion, a perfect world shall emerge, with myself the gentle hand, or if necessary the iron fist, that guides it into the future..."
Garland spoke so passionately, but despite his dilusions, one thing was clear.
He just wanted to rule over everything.

To this Jenova chuckled, watching the passion he had on the subject, and yet his vision...his dream seemed so far for a mere mortal's dreams.
... a mortal's dreams, she thought before speaking out loud, " A king can only rule over a kingdom... a God can rule over everything he or she desires..." she hinted, leaning her tender back against the cold stone-wall to the side, keeping her upper half under shadow while her eyes glowed a seductive violet, " So how much power do you want, dear Garland? ...what kind... of of power would you like?"

Garland was about to enter the Princess' room when he heard Jenova's words... considering them...
" A king can only rule over a kingdom... a God can rule over everything he or she desires..." she hinted, leaning her tender back against the cold stone-wall to the side, keeping her upper half under shadow while her eyes glowed a seductive violet, " So how much power do you want, dear Garland? ...what kind... of of power would you like?"
"..." Garland thought on this a moment, staring at the door that lead to one of the most infamous kidnappings in history. He thought, then slowly answered. "Then I shall become a god..." he said simply, looking over his shoulder to her. "I'll take the power for myself. Enough power to fashion myself into a new God, one born of Darkness instead of the idealistic nonsense of Cosmos that idiotic kings follow blindly today. I will make myself into something greater if need be. I will be Chaos incarnate if it means bringing about change..."
With that, Garland opened the door. The Princess awaited...

[glow=purple,2,800]"In this world... one can be only so... involved, my child..." [/glow]
That sounds like something she would say to the Unversed... or rather, this new form of Guardian. She scratched a little at the bothering cells, those memories of another life which pestered and nearly rejected their quiet stay there while she remained in thought.
...
... but she was so angry... with him ... she just could not think correctly.
"I am sure that when the time comes..." she whispered, giving him a soft grin and a nod, "... you will be unstoppable." She watched him march on into that room, with intentions fully noted, and she watched from the hallway in quite surprise.
... no one was there?
"Oh, that is right." she remembered, and began to plant the seed, "... Atticus must of scared them off with the banishment of light... they must all be together in some sort of secret- protective chamber, yes, so the princess is beyond your reach now...?"
Jenova frowned a little at this and crossed her arms, "My, my... it appears such plans will be postponed further... hrm... he has not only taken what was to be my right, he has also denied you the glory you seek... I am sorry, Garland... but it appears we have both been duped by The Fallen." she walked a few paces forward, resting her hands on her sides before looking to him with a look of curiosity, "...what shall we do now?"

An empty room... the realization that his destiny remained yet beyond his fingers. Growling, Garland's fast balled up tightly, listening to Jenova's words about how they were tricked by the Fallen. What made him more angry still... was knowing that as he was now, he couldn't take the Fallen in a fair fight! Letting out a roar of anger, he threw his left arm out to the side, firing off a massive ball of darkness which had been born of his own anger. It blew apart the nightstand nearby, leaving a smoking crater in its wake.
"Damn him!" Garland roared, his fists so tight his palms were beginning to bleed from the nails puncturing through the rough leather of his gloves. Dark waves of power rolled over him, threatening to blast outward...
Until he suddenly calmed himself. With a breath, he turned around. "There's nothing that can be done about it now. The cowards will come out of their holes in due time..." he muttered, though clearly holding back a rage so pure it made the room shudder. He held a hand up, ignoring the blood on his hands.
"You had other goals... didn't you m'lady?"

Jenova frowned at this, looking at the man taking his rage with the room, rather than concentrate it on the cause-- She supposed it was only right to vent a bit of it out before thinking clearly. She stayed there, new to the fact of imposed images of the future, her eyes widening at the films flowing into her mind.
She saw it...
... she was able to see all-- and it had to play perfectly for her plans to reach fruition.
"Let us go back to that Castle..." She spoke softly, almost lovingly to the Knight, reaching to rest a hand over his bloodied ones, and healing them fully with a single crystal she just formed, " for my main goal, dear Garland... is yours as well. "
The creature born of darkness, memories, and now time began to guide this strong individual to where they once came from. She would keep in front of him, every now and then looking back to those golden orbs from his helm and smiling softly to them before looking to their path. She was to be alone for her work... just as Ultimecia was...
... but if Ultimecia picked favorites to light... why could she not do the same... to darkness?
Jenova took him to the broken orb, and looked to it a moment, before turning to look to him, "... a Question arises before beginning... Garland... are you willing to lose all humanity?"

Funny how he couldn't stay mad when she touched him so delicately. She had a power over him that she herself had forgotten, apparently. That single cell she gave him through their kiss... was all she needed to make him do as she wanted. Worse... it was all she needed to make him WANT it. When they paused, and she asked of him this ultimate question, he simply stood closer... and took her into his arms, holding her close as golden eyes looked into her own hues.
"Humanity... gods do not need it... why would I cling to such a weakness when my destiny lies ahead of me... or right in front of me?" he asked, searching her eyes once more. "Lady Jenova..." he spoke, lifting a hand, now only rust-colored from dried blood, to stroke her cheek lightly...
"I would gladly give anything... for you..."

"Then give upon me... that which makes you human... and allow me to make it that which will make you stronger..." she whispered, a soft hand resting upon the side of that metal helm, wanting him to remove it. Once so, she would stand on her toes to be that much closer to him, and she would blink twice as she focused contact with those dark eyes.
[glow=green,2,800]"Your fear..."[/glow] her voice echoed, and she would glow a soft black and purple aura, the powers of the Unversed coming known now, [glow=green,2,800]"... Your Malice..." [/glow]she would continue, inching closer still, her voice frighteningly soothing, [glow=green,2,800]"...Your Pompous desire..."[/glow] her eyes narrowed and turned snakelike for only moments, her powers focusing on the emotions of the man before her, [glow=green,2,800]"...Your Hopelessness!" [/glow]
Jenova's form seemed to glow an unearthly silver, refined from the darkness of her aura combined by that of the iron titan. She reached to pull him closer, until their lips would almost meet...
[glow=green,2,900]" ... Give me... the materials to your rise...Chaos ...!" [/glow]

Garland could feel these strange things mixing within him... these emotions and weaknesses that he tried to bury for years. As a knight, he was supposed to be without weakness, but now he had to address them, face them, and forge them into new weapons. As she lifted his helm, he eagerly tore it away from his face, dropping it to the side as she drew nearer.
She asked for his fears, his malice, his arrogance, even his hopelessness... and he was ready to discard them. She wanted them? She could have them! As her lips came so close, he couldn't take it any more.
Pulling her close, he kissed her deeply, passionately, heatedly. So much pent-up emotion boiled down to one moment... in which he poured everything he had to give. Every ounce of what made him human. If this was to be his asention, then so be it! Nothing pleased him more than knowing that he pleased her. He was her puppet for now, but when she takes these demons within and turns them into monsters without...
...Then we'll see how she feels on the subject.

Oh, such hidden emotion surfacing from the abyss within the man. It would fill her, and it would cause her to shiver, overwhelmed by such desires-- it would be then that shadow-like figures would begin to form around them... four in total.
To the west of them, a creature of rotten decay appeared. The figure cloaked in a cloth of purest black would spew acidic liquids from its lower jaw. Its skull adorn with a metal helm, and the sockets emitting fearful, small red points for his sight. It would shiver a little, the emotion of fear getting accustomed to its new form, and it would click and cluck the bones into their proper joints and settings.... Lich was born.
To the East of them, a woman made her appearance, with the lower half being that of a snake. Her skin seemed hard, and red even in her dark surroundings. Her hair would be a wild gold, a rather strange version of a Medusa, who's eyes only gave out one emotion... Malice. She roared angrily to make her presence known... Kary was born.
To the South of them, many tentacles would sprout from a single entity, and eyes of cold blue would pierce the artificial night. It would let out an awkward, pompous laugh as it gleefully looked to his surroundings... feeling special above all others, he would reach and flex its mighty limbs in victory... Kraken was born.
Finally, to the North appeared of figure with many heads and many eyes, all attached to a single body. Each would roar their own calling; this one appeared to have no weakness, as it has a bit of all the others and more. The heads would look to the two-- and they looked rather confident on any enemy that would cross them. They would show the true meaning of hopelessness... Tiamat was born.
After the final creature was born, Jenova began to slowly part from the kiss, feeling weak and exhausted from all the emotions she had to make hers momentarily and convert all that energy to the makings of Fiends. The unversed creatures born of Garland's emotions would growl and cheer and grunt to their presence, knowing when they were in the sights of Masters. The woman rested against the armor of the man, catching her breath. She kept her head lowered and eyes closed while she remained this way...
"... G-...Garland..." she would whisper after a moment before looking to him, "What... powerful emotions you possess... " she chuckled, standing straight now to look at him, " ...How do you feel?"
