** From The World that Never Was, DESCENT INTO DARKNESS **
Just outside the castle walls, in a clearing of forest, the space would twist and darken to give way to an opening corridor. Out of the ominous corridor came out a beautiful unversed creature, holding the hand of an Iron Giant as they made their way out of that dangerous path. She would stand there a moment, and look about with a sudden interest-- wondering where that obnoxious teddy bear had gone.
Jenova turned and looked to Garland after a moment of silence, and went to whisper something, anything to have them do something, " The walls are quiet, " she would begin, noting the silence of the castle and villagers. It was almost nighttime.

[glow=teal,2,300]Outside between trees in the dense and lush forest, a bright purple aura shinned through trees and brush as Shantotto's Cardian came through. It wonder through the forest looking for where Jenova may be. It wasn't sure what or who it was looking for except for the minor details Shantotto had given it.
After a time, it stumbled across a small clearing where it heard words being exchanged. It grew closer only to find a woman and a iron giant. Not sure who they were except that Jenova would be in this world, it approached with cation. Staff in hand it spoke "HA#rM&*IMe*^aN#!Not.ISee$%K#the*%ON$e#Cal#LeD$%JeNOVa." was all the Cardian said.[/glow]

Garland was silent a moment as well. The Lady's hand was cupped lightly within his own... so delicate and soft even through the thick leather palm of his gauntlet. He looked down upon it, the gold-coloured eyes of his helm giving nothing of the confused emotions beneath. A moment between them... the darkness in his heart stirring from another trip through the corridor causing him to behave... strangely.
She turned to him, and his eyes lifted to hers. He pulled her close now, a powerful arm wrapping around her waist in a strong desire to possess her. To make her his own. A hand lifted to remove his helmet, showing the scarred face below and the conflicting nature of his heart's desire versus his mind's knowledge. He knew they should be focusing on matters at hand... but which was more important?
"Let them be quiet..." he whispered, leaning in closer to her, the hand which formerly held his helm dropping it to the ground before reaching up to caress her cheek. "But let you speak... what is this promised land you seek? How might I give it to you?" he asked, lips hovering just over hers... so dangerously close... so sensually tempting...
And then some robot suddenly appeared. Unknowing of this creature's origin or purpose, Garland swiftly let the woman go, scooping up his helm to replace it just as suddenly. He was equipped and had a hand at the hilt of his sword within microseconds, just in time to hear the construct say in some kind of garbled language that it did not wish to be harmed... and that it sought Jenova!
"Speak, golem!" he demanded, his voice strong and powerful as the day he first met Jenova. "What business have you with Jenova??"

The feeling of his strong arm around her graceful form caught her off guard, even though it was later welcomed. She gave a soft gasp, and looked up into his eyes once the help was removed, and starred deeply into them while he continued to speak. Something in her wanted to etch even closer to him, and perhaps even press his lips against his at his subtleties... his tenderness. It was then when he asked of the Promised Land, and this caused her to pout slightly and look away... a memory coming into play....
[glow=purple,2,800] "... The Holy Grail, was not a grail at all... Have you perceived.. that religious things... are not what their name claims them to be?" [/glow]
... Jenova opened her eyes after a moment, and looked to the man, their lips ever so close... and she was about to speak before she was interrupted by a mechanical voice. Then Garland took the defensive, and she as well became ready to fight until it addressed her by name. She blinked at this, and starred at the strange construct before nodding to it, "I am indeed Jenova-- what do you wish of me?"

[glow=teal,2,300]The Cardian had stumbled upon an iron giant of sorts and a elegant woman. After speaking the giant made a quick jerk for his helmet, and readied a defensive. The Cardian simply twirled it's staff slamming it's hilt to the ground, creating a small shock wave of dirt to rise and fall.
It slowly began moving toward the iron giant, till the woman had spoke. [/glow] "I am indeed Jenova-- what do you wish of me?"
[glow=teal,2,300]The Cardian halted it's movement and turned to the woman. "DO%mi^&Na*SHA@!n*NT#%to#o%$HA^s&*SE&*Nt*^t%h^$IS#$FoR*Je!@nov#A." After it spoke, it reached behind it's burlap looking body to produce a small letter. This letter had a small emblem in the shape of the Windhurstian Emblem. This was to ensure proof of Shanottoo's doing. [/glow]

"Domina... Shantotto, you say?" Jenova looked rather displeased, not knowing who this person was, she led herself to ask, "Was this the Teddy Bear from earlier or someone else?"
Jenova cautiously proceeded and extended her hand to retrieve the letter. She watched the sign on it, having no meaning to her as it was as unfamiliar as the given name itself.

High above, the sun was being eclipsed by darkness, thrusting all of Cornelia into nighttime. The last of the light burned at the edges of the dark hole in the sky, marking the death of light at long last...

[glow=teal,2,300]Soon after handing the letter to Jenova, Shantotto's Cardian would track backward a short distance. It noticed that in the sky a strange ominous aura was enveloping. Knowing not to detour from it's present orders, the Cardian simply turned and opened a rift of it's own. It was now on it's way back to Shanototto's side.[/glow]

Begrudgingly, Garland stepped aside to allow the construct to deliver the letter. He watched with mild interest as Jenova took it, shaking his head a bit in amusement that this was the selfsame letter that the Teddy Bear had to be so rude over not longer than thirty minutes ago. A light scoff escaped him before his attention was lifted skyward.
The light...was snuffed out. No doubt the work of the dark others at the Altar. "Hrmmm...." he muttered, then looked to Jenova. "The deed is done, apparently..." he said, then looked to her letter. "One moment..." holding a hand up, Garland cast fire 1 into his hand, creating a small fireball for her to read by. What little light he could offer in a dark realm like this.
"What does it say?" he asked... waiting.

** GRIEVER SUMMONED APPEARED FROM TIME IS... AT CASTLE OBLIVION **
Jenova was a bit startled by the hovering Summon stone, noting something familiar about it. A long lost memory... she looked down to the letter, her mind still failing to bring up that name.
A sudden fear overtaking her....
Eagerly, but with fright, Jenova tore open the letter, her eyes showing much worry... dread. A message-- a message for her... but why?

(( As the letter was read, Jenova had some omnipotence of the happenings of Castle Oblivion-- at least with this. ))
[glow=purple,2,800]Dearest Jen,
My heart goes out to you on your journey to memories, in hopes that as you read this, they begin to flourish and nestle your mind with happiness, and warmth. You have grown to be a beautiful flower, my dear, and I am proud to have seen you grow so elegantly. My time is short now, and as you read this, beautiful child, I begin to fade. It is time for you to become my successor; for you to take the mantle as Guardian of Kronos and Griever.
Wildly, the two fought in mid air, clashing and clawing at one another. Performing massive spells, and countering them with even bigger incantations. The Witch of Time was loosing sight of the future, and it would come at random intervals in a minute.
I fight for my life this instant; i have barely any energy left, and although my life is threatened, I cannot help but wonder...
...How you are?
....Have you remembered me, that sad, old woman from your past?
Ahah...Do you still like the color blue?
Silly things to you, I'm sure, but to me, they are fond memories, my sweet child.
"APOCALYPSE!!" She would shout to the heavens, and a symbol stretched out bellow her and quickly covered a wide radius around. Like a flash in darkness, a holy light would flare from the seal, and burn those close to her, along with blind those afar watching. The witch made some distance between her and Atticus, by this time gasping for air¡K her eyes losing focus...
My time is short now, my brave Jenova, and I must bid you farewell, but not a goodbye, for we will meet again soon, and when that time comes, will tell me if you still like the color blue?
....please, take care of all while I am gone. Griever will assist you... all you must do, is accept,
...my darling child....
.... and soon...
"HRRAAAAH!!" A bright light seemed to charge itself within her grasp as she saw Atticus dash ever so close, "§hockwave Pulsar!" she called, and toss the speck of blue light in front of the Heartless Leader, launching him backwards against the snowy layered steps that lead to the Castle Grounds. Ultimecia after her attack descended , her wings growing heavy with every flap...
...very soon...
...a new day will begin... and we will meet again, I promise...
...Just Accept. ÞUltimecia
A breath... The witch needed a breath, so she floated there in the sky looking at the rubble bellow. Time--Time was slipping from her...[/glow][/b]

"Ultimecia..." Jenova would gasp, memories of her childhood and her rushing into her mind. She would fall to her knees, starring up toward Griever... lost.
"Ultimecia...!" She would call out again, slowly reaching for the hovering orb. That smiling woman of her past... That was her name-- WHY -- HOW could she forget such a name?!
"ULTIMECIA!!" She yelled out, and grasped at the orb, "I ACCEPT!!" the words seemed to echo, and Jenova was surrounded by gray, purple and blue lights for only moments before it vanished...

Upon the bold declaration, and the sudden wave of ethereal light, Garland had to take a step back, shielding himself somewhat in case this was some kind of attack he could not protect Jenova from. It was gone as swiftly as it had come, his cape still fluttering from the movement of air.
With a long pause, the seed of darkness looked to Jenova, slowly stepping forward as he lowered his hand to her. "... Are you alright?" he asked, knealing down to get a look at her. "What just happened...?"

Jenova watched as the Witch stayed there, awaiting her death. She screamed to no one Garland could see, "MOVE! ULTIMECIA-- PLEASE!! ULTIME--" her eyes widened, at what she saw next. The Unversed creature was losing it, her face twisting in shock and horror as she saw Atticus pierced the Time Witch... and held at her heart, and crushed it in his hold...
"N-...no...... no.....................!"
She would fall to her knees, and bend forward to claw at the ground and grip tightly at the grass. The Griever Summon had fallen bellow her rolling near her left knee. She would look forward, only allowed to watch. Her eyes glowing a bright, glossy purple. The successor would shiver all over, and she began to breathe a bit loudly.
The witch was falling.... and before long... she was gone. It was now that the world of Cornelia would be shrouded in darkness-- What little light there was at night by the moon was gone.
By this time, Jenova would have her head pressed against the soft soil underneath with eyes shut but allowing the tears to flow freely from them. She then cried... unable to control her emotions in front of the strong, armored man.
"G-..Garland.." she would whimper, trying to hold herself in a sitting position, still with her head lowered, "Sh-she's gone..."

Garland acted swiftly, swooping in to catch Jenova as she fell. He held her close in his arms, knealing down in order to keep her off her feet. He held her close, watching as she began to cry for someone he did not know.
"Who...?" he asked, shaking his head slightly when she addressed him. "Who is gone, Lady Jenova?" he asked once more, trying to comfort her by gaining a knowledge of what he might be able to say or do...
