[glow=red,2,300]--Learned Ability Rules--[/glow]
-Abilities which are picked up as the player progresses through the game.-
RULES
1) These abilities MUST match your character. If you're playing someone who can't wield magic, let's not have them randomly learning cure "just because".
2) The player MUST play out the aquisition of the skill. This can be as simple as reading a book for spellcasters, or practicing a new move for brawlers.
3) Once a player has played out the learning of the ability, they must post under their character in a reply, listing out the new skill (this can be a one-time post which is modified over time, that's fine).
4) No crazy skills! PLEASE use common sense! Let's not have our characters suddenly sprouting wings for no reason beyond "cuz it's cool".
5) Let's not get overboard on abilities. Space them out, give it time. I don't wanna see one person with a hundred skills and another with two!
6) Upgrading skills comes from use. Give it about 10 castings to go from basic to next level up, then 20 to the next level after that. I think a basic 3 level format works best.
7) Abilities are NOT limits! These are things that stick with us like spells and the "aerial dodge" ability (double-jump). Stuff you'll use a LOT.
8) Try to be modest when giving yourself an ability. It's the stuff you'd expect to see in a KH game that makes these work.
9) BE SPECIFIC TO WHAT YOUR ABILITY DOES! If it only works for SWORD, it will only work for a SWORD, not a keyblade, not a gunblade, an honest-to-god sword.
10) Start small and work your way UP. I don't want to see people getting Ragnarok before they even know how to parry...
