The Skies Above Nowhere

[Secondary Characters]

***From A Rose and its Clippers, in Hyperspace***

"The World that Never Was is in sight!" called out Ellis, who guided the Red Rose closer and closer to the looming palace in the distance.

"Alexandrian Soldiers!" she called out. "Man your stations and prepare for attack! Load the Grapplers, and prepare a Bomb." A bomb monster would prove to be an excellent weapon against any who threatened.

"Ready all cannons, and charge up the Ray. We might need it, so I'd like to have it at call." She spun the helm as she barked orders, trying to settle the Rose into a defensive maneuver should they attack first.

"Our general awaits, I want an entire platoon by the telepods, getting themselves geared to infiltrate!"

[Lilith]

...'Tis there a problem?"

Lilith stepped out into the dim light.
"uh, no, well sort of, I was hoping I could get my clothes washed"

[The Heartless Army]

Perhaps what the captain should have been worried about wasn't that they were approaching the World That Never Was, but rather that they were approaching the area where the bulk of the Heartless Battle Fleet had been gathered. Already, the systems of the Red Rose would begin to get fuzzy, a result of the tactics stations strategically planted in over 20 locations, most out of sight, to scramble incoming enemy vessel radars.

The Battle Fleet wouldn't wait for them. Eight monoliths began to drift lazily towards the ship, firing their high-powered lasers at various targets (wings, propellers, weapons systems, etc). Stingers would zip in and begin peppering the hull with blasts from their guns while battleships began to move in slowly. Two massive Carriers were slowly moving into position to keep the starfield well stocked with Fleet ships, making this a very effective blockade.

[Sai]

Sai lifted an eyebrow at Lilith's request, about to question the wisdom of getting out of clothes without fresh ones present to change into. "I'm sure we can find suitable replacemen-" he didn't get to finish. The ship jolted to one side, causing him to quickl throw an arm out to brace himself against the wall in order to keep from losing his balance. When the ship evened itself out, he looked up to Agrias.

"It would seem we are under attack..." he said in such a cool voice it was as if he was commenting on a video game removed from the situation at hand. He stood up, nodding to the captain before looking to Lilith. "You may want to get dressed quickly..." he said before looking once more to Agrias to wait for orders. It was technically her ship at this point after all...

[Shego]

[glow=green,2,800]The alarms had sounded off again, and at this the Nobody would hold her head, slightly discomforted by the noise. She would look to the new Queen, and old Heartless before stating, " Don't mean to bust your bar mitzvah, but we have company!" she hissed, and turn in place, disappearing through a corridor to appear at a high tower, looking above at the large ship just above them.

"What the-- Ah! The signal!" She had almost forgotten, a soft smile creeping strangely on her face, uncertain-- but thinking she should be happy, " I almost forgot... Good, it's all coming together."

Shego held out her hand, and snapped her fingers, expecting heartless... only to have lesser Nobodies to appear in place. The thief blinked once, a little startled-- Dusks? Standing there pondering on the idea, thinking it wouldn't be bad to have a bit of everything, went with it, "Take it easy, boys." The girl looked towards the ship and pointed at it, the Lesser ones gazing up and hissing that strange way of theirs before the woman spoke again, "Go."

Orders accepted, the Nobodies would jump up, flailing their pointy arms and completely running past Heartless for once, rushing over to the Red Rose via corridors and high jumps. Shego watched from where she was, feeling no happiness, nor joy, nor excitement-- it felt like she was getting the job done...and that felt ... enough. [/glow]

[Agrias Oaks]

Agrias smiled a little, looking to Sai before glancing at Lilith, "There should be some spare clo--" She ship began to blare out, and soon rumble under them. The knight would hold her arms just above her ribs, trying to regain her balance, "Great Ivalice! We are already here?! Damn!"

The holy knight looked to the others before nodding, "Surely, Ellis will dispatch the ground troops! I shall go with them, 'Tis imperative that you all and Abigail to stay safe!" She bowed her head and turned in place, "If you'll excuse me! Lilith, you can find some spare clothes three doors down from here! I'm off!"

Her amber eyes set for the telepods, and she dashed to them, looking back to the others as she ran, " If hope be- Let us try to leave naught one behind!" ... She stopped a few feet away from the ceramic-like structures and looked down, the huge enemy ship coming to visibility. Her eyes widened, gasping at the massive structure about to do battle with the Red Rose. " God, save us..." she whispered, glancing down at incoming Dusks. The woman grunted, and hoped over the rail, taking out her sword and pointing it at the group that etched closer, "'Fraid not, demons!"

The sword began to glow a baby blue aura, and it would give a metallic battle cry, "Absorb power in the sky and strike! Lightning Stab!" echoed the knight's voice, and out came a holy blizzard attack- shards of ice would fly down toward the advancing enemy piercing them and sending most to plummet back toward the ground. She would launch another attack, to clear the way for the soldiers before hopping into the Telepod, typing down where she wanted to go, and disappeared to her destination.

[Lilith]

Lilith went straight into a fighting stance as the ship jolted and she
instinctively went to gab her pistols... that weren't there.
"oh for gods sake why now?"

"You may want to get dressed quickly..."

"yeah thanks for the advice"

[ximar]

Ximar ran to the bridge where everyone was. "What's going on?! Are we under attack?!" He looked outside the windows and gasped. "Home..." It had been too long since he had seen his world. He also noticed the monstrous battleships attacking them. "Ohhhh shiz...That ain't good. Is there anything I can do to help?"

[Abigail Crescentlight]

Abigail gasped when the lurch of the ship caused her drawing to be a little messed up. "What was that??" she said to no one in particular, tossing her sketchpad aside and running to her door. The whole ship shuddered and she gripped at the frame to keep balance. She looked up and down the hall before running towards the telepod area.

"We must already be there!" she whispered to herself, running down the hallway until she found what she was looking for. She pressed the button on the side of the wall to open the door and run inside. She saw Agrias dispatch strange new monsters before hopping over to where the telepods were. She grabbed the one next to the woman, giving her a serious nod.

It should be obvious what it meant. Agrias would not be able to talk Abby out of not going to the surface with her. They were the SISTERS of Light, after all... she wouldn't allow herself to sit back and wait for Bea's rescue...

[Agrias Oaks]

The two sisters of light, along with several other soldiers would port into a strange and quiet Ballroom. The Knight was leading the first squadron through the dark hallways, them forming a Spartan Arrow march as they went off to defeat heartless after heartless with Abigail in the middle for support.

"Life is short…Bury!," The voice of the Knight echoed within the depths of darkness, "Steady Sword!" she cried, the area in front of her bursting into light and making a clearing! !

** ENOUGH JP expericence, LEARNED ABILITY: DRAGOON JUMP **

One of the soldiers nearest Abigail would suffer a critical hit from a heartless before mowing it down with her mace. She would hold at her arm, having a nasty wound.

Another soldier would be holding a strange device within her hands, "The signal is coming from above, Lady Agrias!" she would say, dodging a near death slice from a Heartless Soldier, "Ack! get away!" she would hiss, and kick the thing off with a spiked ankle, "Tch, there is a stairway a few feet from our current location...!"

"Then let us go!" The brave knight replied, slashing away at the enemy and making a clearing for the others to pass, some surviving, until the other brave Alexandrian troops got to them, "LADY BEATRIX!" she called out, waiting for some good sign that she was conscious at least!

[Lilith]

"bloody hell"
Lilith ran down the corridor until she found an open topped area, she brought down her motorcycle and went to a compartment, she unfastened the latch and took out a simple tank top, jeans and spare underwear, she didn't really like to wear them but this was an emergency, she started to change as she ran back to the cargo hold.
she burst through the door and leaped for her pistols.
"great" she noticed Boco "hey Boco, wanna come and help the dear lady?"

[Agrias Oaks]

The sweet chocobo would leaped up on it's legs and flutter his wings, giving a little shake of eagerness. It would let out a loud "WAARK" before rushing over to Lilith, awaiting to be mounted.

"WARK, KWHEE!" It would screech, its feathers ruffling as it got ready for battle.

[Lilith]

Lilith jumped onto the chocobo.
"you run... I'll shoot"
she pointed to the door
"charge!"

[Agrias Oaks]

"WWWWAAARK" The chocobo sounded off, charging through the doors and BURSTING out, flapping it's wings as it ran. He would avoid all the soldier look alikes, and stomp on Heartless and Dusks that had made their way to the ship! The little armor pieces that covered the birds claws were made of the same material as Agrias' armor: Holy Metal!

"WARK KWEE!"

[Atticus the Fallen]

The Nobody of Shego took off, leaving him alone with MeadowSong. He looked up at her, seeing her enjoy her newfound freedom before taking a step back and slightly turning to the door. "It seems we have company, beloved..." he whispered, then turned fully to make his way out. He spoke over his shoulder to her as he left.

"MeadowSong... I'm going to keep the invaders at bay, so they don't stumble across your little project. If you'd be a dear and finish your assembly so you can open fire on Disney Castle... We have another ally to retrieve... from the past." Was the heartless implying a resurection for Ansem? Only he would know as he stepped out the door and into the hallways.

He found his way closer to the Ballroom, and a few hallways away, stood with his wings spread across the way, blocking the soldiers as they came around a corner. He looked at them, his eyes glowing in the darkness with his arms crossed behind his back. "So... an invading force, have we? Tsk tsk..." He looked up and regarded the one in front, with the royal crown emblazoned on her chest.

"You must be the Agrias our dear Beatrix has been asking for... Best not keep her waiting..." he muttered, jerking his head somewhat to the side for her to leave. The others though... would begin to feel an odd electric charge in the hallway, Atticus' hand lifting to match.

"As for the rest of you..." he muttered, snapping his fingers.

The hallway erupted into a chaotic blast of light and sound...
