[glow=teal,2,300]Appearing between Garland and Edgar a warp rift. Somewhere near the facility where Shantotto and Terra had just been. Her purplish rift and gleamed a bright purple light within the room.
Out stepped a taru, Cardian at hand "O~Hohohoho Are you two not finished?! Brace yourselves, fools, for a serving of pain. When I'm through with you, not but ashes shall remain!" With the few that seemed to left in the room a shout of "Bindga" came to flourish. What seemed as every last standing Heartless was bound in place. Soon after another shout was heard "CHAINSPELL!" Once cast, this gave Shantotto the ability to rapidly cast her ancient magics in secession. "O~hohohohoho Ashes to ashes!" not a moment after she shouted "Burst, Burst, BURST!" Soon dozens of triple orbs of light would appear around the Heartless bound. From these orbs came a massive jolt of lighting turning everything asunder.
"O~hohohohoho I enjoyed destroying you!" [/glow]

[glow=purple,2,800]Ultimecia looked out as Jenova went off to find the others. One of her head ornaments, the left purple shell located near her ear, gave a soft tune. A bell sound. This caused her to look to her side, seeing that the heartless had retreated from her standing. She was just too powerful to them, and they were smart enough to avoid it. The witch took a weak breath and stood there, catching her breath, her features still covered by a purple mist, trying to heal herself within rifts.
"Shantotto..." she whispered, feeling the Taru in this world once more, she grew relieved. It was not necessary, but it was at least a kind gesture of the midget to finally help something... other than her cause.[/glow]

Garland was about to deliver the finishing touch on this group of creatures when an odd little midget came in and pretty much finished the job for them. He gruffed loudly, lowering his sword. He was not pleased that this woman came in and just took his victory. Frankly... wouldn't you be annoyed as well?
"Your assistance was not required..." he muttered, then turned to Edgar. "You fought well... I suppose I had the wrong idea about you..." he said, strapping his sword to his back and crossing his arms. "I endorse sending you and your lady friend off... as for Jenova, she and I have business still..." he looked off, seeming distracted by his thoughts.
"Enough of that. I have soldiers to tend to..." he spoke, then walked off to handle the injured, leaving Edgar to figure out what he was doing.

The battle finished, Edgar let out a deep exhalation, relieved that the massive wave of creatures had been taken care of, though he felt sorry that Garland's thunder had been stolen.
When the knight advanced and informed him of his decision the king smiled, and bowed low in a sign of sure grattitude. "Thank you very kindly, Your Grace!" he said enthusiastically, and watched at Garland walked off. "If there is anything else you require of me before I leave...please just ask. But if you would, I just need to check in on Terra quickly. I'll come with you, as I believe Jenova was with her."
He smiled, retracted Longinus and sealed it away, following briskly behind the towering knight, admiring his nobility and honesty.
"You know your soldiers were truly right about you. You're a good man, even if you don't agree sometimes. Forgive me, Ser, but they like to talk. Personally I believe you're very just, together and they are lucky to have you. Again, thank you very much."

Jenova finally found herself running faster, unsure of how much danger Garland and Edgar had gotten themselves in. Her mind had been moving fast, so fast that she failed to noticed that something was coming towards her location. Of course, in her haste she failed to notice the difference between the wall and the silver of Garland's armor. Her body attempted to push the wall down, only to find herself on top of a person, and not just anyone.
"Sir Garland?" She seemed dazed, her head lifted up a few inches from his armored head. Part of her looked like she wanted to stay there. Her gloved hands slowly reached to the ground, pushing herself off the man slowly. "I apologize, I was uncertain of your current situation."

Garland huffed slightly at Edgar following him. It was entirely unnecessary, and frankly he was trying to get some privacy to begin his move to take the castle. In fact, when Edgar was complimenting him, it really just annoyed him all the more. "Hmph... the qualities of a king, and yet I am just a grunt... another face in the crowd..." he muttered. Clearly, it was bothering him. "Not a penny to my name, nor land to call my own. Tell me, Edgar... is that fair?" he asked, then turned the corner leading to his meager underground area, which he shared with other soldiers.
And then, this great beast of a man, this mighty warrior of sword and sorcery, was overtaken by a hurried woman. He toppled backward, hitting hard with her landing atop of him. As he lifted his head, his helmet would fall away to reveal that scarred face once more. "Be careful where you-" he began, but fell silent when he saw the face of Jenova so close to his own. He stared a moment... then cleared his throat as she removed herself from him.
"It's fine... the hallways are narrow, and the turns sharp..." he said, then stooped to pick up his helmet. "It's... not important."

Edgar was somewhat annoyed with himself. Even when trying to be polite to this man...he just seemed to make him angrier. Edgar shrugged.
"It isn't fair, Ser Garland, but I'm sure that you'll be rewarded for your defense--rather expertly, I might add--of Castle Cornelia. The king'd be daft not to grant you titles, land and women."
Chuckling, they turned the corner, until--BOOM!
The two collided. Edgar stopped, squealing as he saw the two explode and knock backwards. "Uh...oh my. Is everyone all right? Ah, Miss Jenova!"
Assisting Garland to his feet and then the Cetra, he brushed them off. "Um, excuse me. Have you seen Terra?"

Jenova looked a bit red when she got off of Garland with Edgar's help. It took a few minutes for her to regain her composure. The meeting with the woman that had helped her had confused her sense of time. It took a few minutes to understand that Edgar had asked about the whereabouts of Terra. Turning to look at the king of Figarro, her eyes became a bit worried, more or less because the vision she had had was not true. "I could not find her. I had a feeling of where she was." Her hand reached up a little, as if trying to find a reason why Terra wasn't there.

[glow=teal,2,300]The little taru would simply stand there and laugh at the sight of these Heartless turning to ash. Shantotto turned to Garland. He was to her what seemed to be a walking iron giant. Nothing more then a mere rock in her path. "Assistance?! O~hohoho you lacked the battles control! A better replacement would be a mongrel. You have far to go if you wish to reach the Judge."
With that she simple bid Edgar good bye before she opened a warp rift and stepped through, back to her place in Time's Hall.

[glow=purple,2,800] A swirl of mist seemed to cloud Jenova's vision, and soon she was in a place which she had only visited once. A field of white marble, a feeling of winter would set in, and she would feel the cold of this place of gray skies. Suddenly, in her vision, black feathers seemed to drop from the sky, about one or two at first, followed by several others. Before her eyes could continue to follow those brownish-black feathers, that image seized, and she was starring at the floor in front of her in Cornelia.
By this point, Ultimecia was resting against a wall with her eyes closed. She had leaned back against it and wrapped her wings around her form to take a breather. She was beginning to feel her age... a sad feeling really, although inevitable.
After a while, the witch of time stood straight to look in front of her, she was outside now, starring up at the blue skies of this kingdom. It was often to see such lovely skies, having all the time in the world and all, yet still, the enthralling feeling of amusement never faded. The continuation of a new day...
The beautiful, and old witch closed her eyes and breathed heavily, looking down to see three feathers on the floor, lightly moving in the wind before disappearing.
Speaking of... it was about time she left for Castle Oblivion as well... Ultimecia was soon surrounded by a purplish mist, getting ready to leave this place to return home... or what WAS home to her.

Garland cleared his throat once more, looking away from Jenova to prevent distraction sounding off in his voice. He looked instead to Edgar. "Your friend is missing, then..." he said, crossing his arms as he thought. "Possibly carried off by those monsters. Who can you think of that would want to hold this woman hostage?" he demanded.
Inwardly, Garland was furious. If they had to go on a stupid person-hunt to find this woman, it would delay his plans yet further. Still, with the recent attack he didn't know how much he liked the idea of going after Sarah tonight any more. There'd be too many people he couldn't rely on to keep quiet in key areas as a result of injured parties or other such things. Tonight wasn't going to work. He'd have to wait. Still, he didn't know how long a proper search would take... or with this group where it would take them.
Unable to find satisfaction in either situation, he turned once more to Jenova. "Where do we go from here?" he asked... meaning both about Terra and about Sarah.

Jenova felt a bit dizzy, starting to sense something strange near her. The visions she had and the woman that had helped her began to plague her mind. What if this were not just a coincidence? She just had to focus on Sir Garland, the door had to be opened. Right now Terra was of importance. Her eyes looked down the hall towards a figure that seemed to be either walking or just appearing out of nowhere. "Sir Garland, it would seem that our valued companion is quite safe." She spoke, lifting a hand in the direction Terra was. "As for the trial, I would think it best to postpone any decisions." In other words, wait for the whole plan to take over Cornelia, especially since the attack had been quite sudden.

As if on cue, when Jenova raised her hand to point out where Terra was , a purple mist would form, growing bigger, eventually producing their missing companion. Terra moved out of the mist and walked toward the small group "Dang, it didn't look this bad from the orb" she said as she looked around at the left overs from the attack. She walked right up to Edgar, looking him over. "Are you ok Edgar? those things didn't do to bad of a number on you did they?"she asked

When they spoke of Terra being missing the king of Figaro dropped his head in complete shame, and he soon found himself thinking about how much of a failure he was. He couldn't protect one of his closest comrades, one that had fought with him to the very end versus the most dangerous evil of all time.
"I am a fai--" he began, when Jenova pointed out that Terra was in sight; he shot up his head and took a glance, his eyes widening and his spirits lifting. The half-esper came toddling over to his side and he threw himself onto her in a warm, loving embrace.
"Oh, Terra!" he cried. "I am so thankful to the Triad you are unharmed! I was very worried for your safety, especially after learning of your...predicament."
He let her go and looked her over. "You are undamaged. Good. Ser Garland and I did our part here, with the aid of a small little bear cub, and Cornelia Castle is safe. I do believe that Ser Garland has set us free, as well..."

"Hmm..." Garland muttered, then glanced over to Jenova. He hoped to convey to her that his plans would still have to be postponed, as there were just too many people roving the castle now to make an effective kidnapping. A lot to say without words when you wore a facemask and full body armor. Turning, his attention fell once more on king and pauper.
"Reunited once more..." he muttered, then uncrossed his arms and nodded at them. "You two are free to go. Our magister was transformed into one of those beasts, so no trial can take place until a new one is appointed. Further, you've earned your honor, self-proclaimed king, and that's all I care to see."
With a wave of his hand, Garland turned away from them, walking toward his quarters. "Now get out of my castle..." A fruedian slip, this, as the castle was not technically his...
