Jenova let Garland leave before she spoke to them. She knew they had no way of leaving unless someone had given them a power to do so. She walked closer to the two in order to speak in a softer voice. "I was the one who brought you here, but I cannot leave here." She kept her hands together. "I will send you both to a safer world." She raised a dark corridor behind them, watching them go before she followed Garland.
Part of her felt worried for the two. As if leaving Terra in another world felt wrong for some reason. She tried to fight the feeling, managing to subside it to manageable levels. She made her way to Garland's quarters, looking at him for some direction. A good thing he had left the door open for her to enter.

King Edgar smacked his forehead as Garland walked off, calling himself the "self-proclaimed" king. He dropped his hands to his sides and glanced to Terra, and then to Jenova. Upon opening her rift he gave a solemn look.
"Jenny, dear...know that no matter how far away I am I shall always think about you. Now...my darling, please don't cry once I'm gone, for I'll ever be in your heart!"
He looked to Terra, who gave a disapproving stare.
"Um...let's go."

When Jenova found Garland, he would be standing with his back to the door, his helmet removed and his head bowed to look at the plans of the castle once more. The room was dark... apparently even such luxuries as candles were a rare commodity for the knight who surrendered a simple life for one of war. Hearing her enter, he turned his head ever-so-slightly to the right, and addressed her.
"Close the door, if you would..." he said in a quiet tone. Apparently, his mind was laden down with much. Once it was shut, and he knew none outside could hear him, he would speak again. "The plan is ruined. Until things settle down again, the halls will be teeming like an upturned anthill. Too many eyes... too many people..." he spoke in a barely restrained tone.
He slammed his fist down hard on the table, growling somewhat afterwards. "Damn the timing..." he grumbled, then shook his head.
"My apologies... for bringing you into this..." he said, still not looking Jenova in the eyes as he spoke. "Perhaps it is best I forget this foolishness..." was he turning back to the light??

"Foolishness?" Jenova spoke, one hand touching the plans as she closed the door. "Perhaps there are other ways to make your point." She spoke, her eyes glancing over the various pages. "Time can change everything. Perhaps you need to wait to create a perfect plan." She only placed a gloved hand towards his metallic gauntlet, letting him hold it or leave if he needed too. Part of her wondered if it would help to turn him back to light, but she couldn't do anything of that sort until she opened the door. Garland could remain dark enough to open the door. "I will wait until you can create a plan even the smallest bug could not ruin."

The knight glanced to the hand resting so close to his. There was an odd tension there... sparks, so to speak. However, he couldn't allow himself to become unfocused now. As much as he wanted to sink into the sweetly intoxicating distraction of carnal passions... he needed to keep a wary eye to the ever-approaching future.
"Time..." he repeated deeply, then turned away from her to cross his arms and think. His cape would swish in his movement as he began to pace. He'd pause, then sigh. "The time will come when the kingdom will be mine... but until then I must remain inert..." he paused again, then sighed, never once turning to face the woman.
"I've kept you far longer than I must..." he said, his attention on the far wall as he addressed Jenova. "You must be eager to be on your way... surely you can come back for me when your master is ready for whatever plans he has for us..."
Garland gruffed lightly, then waved a gauntleted hand. "You're as free to go as your friends... after all."

[glow=purple,2,800] **PRECOGNITION**
It was when "Time" was mentioned, that Jenova's mind began to race vigorously; many images began to form a picture, and soon a moving film. She, like before, saw those black feathers falling, ever so beautifully from the gray skies above... Only this time, the images continued... "Playtime is over!" sounded a familiar voice, but no one was in sight. Those bluish-purple hues of hers would travel down the trail of falling feathers to find them landing on a pool of blood bellow. These feathers did not disappear, but stayed mildly pasted there with the blood mildly acting as the glue. "... Come, Griever...!" the familiar voice echoed through her mind, but again, the woman could not pinpoint the location. A pain would strike at the resurrected form of Jenova, her chest was hurting sharply at four places, one being the heart... It felt like spears or something close had gone into her chest and out her back, but she saw nothing else, and after such a feeling, the images ended. [/glow]

Jenova's body knelt over in pain as soon as Garland spoke the word. Her mind filled with a premonition that seemed even more bloody than the last. Her hands clutched her heart, mind beginning to to back to another time. Something that her cells had been trying to remember for a strange reason. Her mind wanted to ask for help or even say something that might give Garland a reason to leave the room. It didn't work, her mouth could barely focus on speaking. A gloved hand formed a fist, attempting to leave the room. She managed to walk out of the room, leaning against a doorway.
She continued walking until she found what looked to be an empty room. Whether or not it was occupied or had a bed did not matter. She had to make sure that Garland did not know anything about what was going on. Her body slowly slid against a wall, one laying in an awkward position as she fell into an uncomfortable slumber.

When the woman left his company, he turned to watch with some interest. Was she injured? The way she was moving suggested an amazing amount of pain. Unable to let this go, he would follow her at a distance, not wanting her to feel he was doting on her, but just wanting to make sure she was alright.
He'd pause halfway to the room, shaking his head a bit. "Why do I even care...?" he asked himself, but was compelled to continue following. Soon, he'd find her resting in an empty room, one of the spares often used as a dungeon for criminals about to go on trial. He sighed a bit, seeing her laying there, and couldn't let it be.
Walking over, he knealt down and scooped her up into his arms, his eyes falling on that beautiful face... He looked forward, attempting to focus himself before taking her back to his own room, and laying her in his bed (which was hardly more than a cot). Tucking her in to ensure she was comfortable, he walked away slightly and sat in a nearby chair, his hands coming up to criss-cross his fingers, his chin settling in that space between thumb and forefinger as he waited... and watched.

[glow=purple,2,800]"Jenova? Jenova, wake up..." called a young sultry voice towards the sleeping girl. A bristle of feathers could be felt against the small form, acting like a blanket. She then felt a tapping at her forehead, a gentle touch, though annoying to someone who had been asleep, “ You fell asleep again... I'm starting to believe you do not enjoy my lessons." The voice gave a soft chuckle. When the small girl opened her eyes, she found herself looking up at a familiar woman of pale skin, with crimson painted lips. Her eyes were a soft gold, and made incredible contrast with her dark, flowing hair. "Is time compression so dull...?" The voice came from this woman, who looked to her with gentle eyes.[/glow]
"Time compression is something so tedious." The small girl stated, sitting up a little while looking slightly nervous. Her body seemed to be uncertain whether to get up completely or to ask why she was being taught something so random.
[glow=purple,2,800]"That is why you must understand it before using it." the kind woman chuckled, reaching down to move one of the child's locks away from her pretty face, " Time is very powerful, and to be able to be donned the skills, one must understand them." The young woman's wings retracted to rest upon her own back, the feathers a pitch black, with glossy, healthy feathers would stay in their place, a beautiful dark angel. She held up a hand, palm up, and the air over it began to change and compress. An aura formed a circle before coming together... the final result, a crystal. She reached up to hold it, and she flicked it into the air above them... It burst into pretty light, almost like a small blue lighted firework that trickled down on them. The witch had used Protect, and at a good time, too. A rampaging ball had just slammed into the convenient shield, and bounced back toward the idiot child who swung it harshly. With a smile, she turned to the learning child, her eyes loving, and motherly to her, " Granted, one should not be so foolish as to trap power of meteor, or ultima within such casings... but let us practice your Fira, alright?" [/glow]"
Every time it happened, she felt like something was trying to kill her. She looked towards Ultimecia, her hands shaking a bit at the attack that had occurred. "Another one was trying...to kill me?" She spoke softly, her voice trembling.
[glow=purple,2,800]"...My sweet..." The woman spoke softly, wrapping a wing around the child to hold her close. She would smile to her, shaking her head, " It was simply a worthless wyrm unable to aim is all. Come here..." She cooed her, and wrapped an arm around her to comfort her. To let her know she was protected. She turned to the small boy and glared at him a moment, "Sadly, time has no sides, Jenova... and it is unable to seek vengeance." she chuckled darkly here, "That is why other magics exist, but of course, that will be another lesson for some other time..." The woman glanced down to the girl, and gave her a sweet smile. She reached up to brush a little at Jenova's hair, removing a single blade of grass from when she was sleeping, " ... know this... whenever you need help... I shall be there to guide you." she chuckled, "... One day... I shall give my all, but for now... are you hungry? " [/glow]
Jenova could feel the pain receding, her eyes starting to open. A name began to leak into her mind. Something almost too familiar to her body and mind. It started...with a U. Yes, it had started with a U, but she couldn't remember the rest of it. She began to take in the room, uncertain of where she was now.

"It's about time..." a voice nearby would sound, followed by the soft metallic scraping of armor moving over armor with the simple motion of one sitting up. Garland's voice was not as gruff as before. He seemed to have been there a while, perfectly still, as some dust had settled on his shoulder pauldrons.
Looking to the woman, he nodded a bit. "I found you sleeping in the dungeon. It would not have benn proper to leave you there... You're in my quarters now..." He stood up here, walking over to a small basin of water, which he began to fill. "You can clean up here... if you wish," he said, then turned toward the door, walking to it, but pausing in the doorway.
"... I'm glad... that you've awakened..." he said, then stepped into the hall.

Garland's voice brought her out of her current train of thought. He had been worried about her, she could tell from his voice. When he left, she was left with what felt like worry. It was like how she felt when she let Terra leave, but much less obligated and more natural. She lifted herself up from Garland's cot She knew that he was giving some sort of space in order to let her somehow...wake up she'd imagine.
"It... That woman is so familiar. Yet I don't know her name." Jenova spoke, approaching what looked to be a water basin. She slowly removed the silver bangles from her gloves arms, placing the fabric of the gloves near the jewelry. She took what looked to be a small white cloth and wiped it gently over her face. A dry one beside it seemed to be there for the purpose of drying it. "Who...is the woman with U in her name?" She took a deep breath.
She still had to deal with Atticus. Right now she had to stay with Garland and do what Atticus had asked her to do. She took a deep breath and replaced the items where they belonged, drawing her gloves and bangles back onto her hands. She approached the door that Garland had left through. "I apologize for causing you so much worry, Sir Garland."

Garland had distracted himself by barking orders at his men. He made sure they were attending to the injured, or otherwise finding places to guard in case of another attack. However, all this would stop when the gentle tones of a woman's voice would reach his ears through the metal helm he wore. He turned slowly to face her, his head bowing softly.
"It was nothing..." he said in a quiet tone, his body tense even as he attempted to maintain the appearance of relaxation and control. To those that knew him, it would almost appear like he was in battle once more, ready to counter and attack, and yet his voice was so... different from his commanding, powerful tone.
"... you should have the mages look you over..." he said, quickly looking away. "Tiredness... fainting spells... perhaps you are growing ill... I wouldn't... it wouldn't be proper to leave you on your own until your health has been ascertained..."

Jenova could sense something strange inside her. Much like the strange woman she had met, Garland cared about her well being. She had not intended to worry him so much. "I apologize Sir Garland. I had not informed you of this illness before. I will do my best to cooperate with the mages, should I feel faint again." Her body bowed again, looking relaxed now that she was not in pain from what she had seen.

Garland nodded somewhat to Jenova, then looked off. "Very well..." he muttered, then turned to face the workers nearby. "Keep that beam up!!" he yelled, pointing at the large wooden crossmember they were attempting to install. "It'll fall on your heads if you don't pay attention!"
Looking again to Jenova, his head bowed lightly. "The mages are over there..." he said, jerking his head to the side lightly to indicate the white mages busily handling those who were injured during the heartless assault. He'd whistle to one, who quickly ran over and smiled warmly to Jenova, offering a hand to lead her over. "I await good news..." Garland muttered, then turned to face the soldiers once more.
"Anyone who can swing a hammer needs to be working!" he called, setting his sword aside and picking up a massive sledge with one hand. "No exceptions!"

Jenova let the mage take her gloved hand. She hoped that the mage would not see anything off about her for a moment, but why? There was something she wanted to do, someone she wanted to see... She smiled at the thought for just a single moment. She'd find out what was causing it soon.
