An hour or so had passed since he parted her side, and Garland's thoughts were consumed by the woman. All he could think about was if she was alright, or if she was hungry or uncomfortable in any way. This distraction and guided his hammer to the wrong target once or twice, resulting in maybe one or two more visitors to the white mages, but overall...
"I can't work like this..." he muttered, turning his hammer back to the sword and strapping it to his back. He walked away from the construction, leaving the minute details to the more talented craftsmen. At least the walls were back up, anyway.
Finding his way back to the makeshift hospital of sorts, he found Jenova sitting nearby conversing with one of the mages and nodded slightly. A casual stroll later, he was next to her, observing her form through the slits in his helm. "Lady Jenova... I trust everything is in order?" he asked... genuinely concerned for her well-being.

"They said that there are no visible signs of anything wrong. They said that if I should feel faint again, to come to them to see them for further examination." She spoke, her mind still reeling from the amount of mental power it took to keep normal. For some reason it felt natural, but not enough to make it feel better. The person who started with a U and the woman helping her lately...were they connected?
Her gloved hands came together on her lap, feeling there was something strong coming from Garland. Why was he so drawn to here? Was it the influence of her cells? Was it something stronger than the bond they were forced to have?

When she said that there was no visible signs, Garland nodded and glanced off. "I am... relieved..." he said, unable to truly articulate what he wanted to say. He paused a moment, then slowly looked to her...
"You're suffocating here..." he stated, trying to think of something to say that might convince her to act. "Our plans are on hault... until the timing is better. However... that's no reason you should wither here..." he looked off, his head bowing. The mask on his helm hid the look on his face when he said... "If you... wanted to leave, I would understand."
He turned away, not wanting to make direct eye contact. Not while he was so vulnerable. He, the great knight Garland... the thought was preposterous. With a turn of his head, he addressed her again. "There's so much out there... one should see it all..."

Garland's voice seemed to betray him. There was a deep desire to do something, be something in this world. Jenova's gloved hand gently reached out to touched a part of his armor, smiling. "There is more than enough time to take care of what you desire." She spoke, her voice calm despite what she spoke. "I will do my best to support those plans."

[glow=teal,2,300]In a bright flash of light, glowing of purple and black hue open a warp rift, where Shantotto had arrived. Just as quick as the rift had opened, the flashes of light had suddenly faded away.
Starring around, Shantotto saw what looked to be a medical facility. Though poorly fashioned in her eyes, somethings just have to do she thought. Just then, a thought, a very dark thought just ran through Shantotto's head, wasn't she to keep Jenova safe? Shantotto's ears drooped down and she began to cower ever so slightly twiddling her little fingers. "If Jenova is injured ... I'd never hear the end of this from Oldmecia." So Shantotto began her search from tent to tent looking for a sign of Jenova.
Upon peering tent to tent, she wouldn't find much of anyone resembling Jenova. Although Shantotto really didn't pay much mind to her the first time they met. After a while Shantotto came to a tent near the rear of the encampment. Inside she saw a woman sitting with her hands in her lap, dressed with purple garments and white gloves. "O~hohohoh there you are my little plebeian, oh, but how you did frighten my little taru~waru self. If your hide was burnt, it's my pride that would hurt." As she thought of what Ultimecia would do, her ears drooped slightly. "Oh but on to business. A delivery for you I have procured, or have you not heard?"
Shantotto simply walked up to the footing of Jenova tapping her foot with her arms crossed starring up at the woman.[/glow]

The teddy bear. That's all she could call the creature talking to her right now as she spoke to Garland. Whatever the creature said about a delivery confused her. Part of her felt like she knew the strange creature, but another did not. "I know not who you are. I know of no teddy bears that talk and walk around as such."

[glow=teal,2,300]There Shantotto stood, once again she had to hear the phrase (teddy bear) once again. Her foot stopped tapping. A very dark and heavy expression came about her face. "Teddy bear!?" She reached for her Jupiter's Staff holstered to her back and pointed it straight at the nose of Jenova. "I should turn you asunder right where you stand!" she said with a very evil yet high pitched tone. "I may be small in stature, but what I like in size is made up for my brilliant nature. Cross me ..." She had suddenly stopped mid sentence.
Shantotto still with staff at the nose of Jenova, peered to the side to see the Iron Giant yet again. Looking up at the ironclad, "Have you found the Judge Gabranth by chance? Surely you fancied my advance?" She would glance back to Jenova lowering her staff. "A letter for you is what I have, from one as prestigious as I. If you wish to receive your boon, it is I who you must attune. Do my bidding, grow my plight and this letter to be yours with no do fight."
Shantotto pulled a small brown letter from beneath her coat and waved it ever so softly.[/glow]

A letter? Why a letter? Who could have sent something like that? The talking teddy bear did little to assure her of this mysterious sender. "I know not of who you are." She spoke softly, leaning forward. "Time is not something to be messed with. I have something of more importance in front of me." She spoke, continuing to hold the hand to Garland's armor.

[glow=teal,2,300]Standing waving a simple letter in the air, she shook her head in disbelief. "Once again your contravening attitude to your superior is such a fright. To what importance she sees in you is but nothing short of absent in my sight." Shantotto put the letter back in her coat.
Shantotto turn her back to the insolent woman sitting. She turned her words to the iron giant that was standing to her side. "It's far apparent this woman is to ignorant of my authority. Make sure this ... girl understand her orders priority." She then turned to Jenova, and pointed a finger to her face. "Time ... mind your words my oblivious fool. My part in time is something you can not comprehend. Your part to me is nothing more than a tool. My bidding, and the letter is yours."[/glow]

The sudden re-appearance of the short one was... somewhat annoying. Especially considering he was in the middle of a pleasant conversation with Jenova. She insisted that they had time to pull off their plot, but she was ignorant to the dangers. Simply put, it was not a smart idea for them to carelessly blunder forward into what could prove a very hazardous situation. He was to explain this to her when the Tarutaru started ranting.
She asked him about Gabranth, and she demanded he put Jenova in her place, both inquiries to which he shook his head. "I know no Gabranth, and this woman does as she pleases..." Reaching down, he plucked the woman up by the back of her dress, dangling her in front of himself in order to look her eye-to-eye. "I appreciate your assistance in the earlier battles, but your persistance in speaking down to a guest of mine grows tiresome..."
Reaching up, the man plucked the staff from Shantoto's belt to prevent her from casting spells for the time being. "Self-proclaimed superior or not, there is a level of courtesy that one should show in the presence of a woman. As for this letter, perhaps if you requested nicely that she take it, or offer its originator at the very least, she'd be more inclined to not hold you in such suspicion..."
Lowering his arm, he gently set Shantoto back down, so as to show her some level of respect. However, the staff he kept closely held. "Common courtesy dictates that your weapon be checked in. Claim it when you leave, but not before, please..." Garland spoke in that strong, authoritative manner before setting the staff nearby (in Shantoto's eyesight, to show her some courtesy), on a table.
Looking up, he nodded to Jenova. "We'll discuss certain events more thoroughly when fewer ears are precent..." he muttered, then gestured for Shantoto to try this again, but with some level of propriety rather than outright haughtiness.

[glow=teal,2,300]"...To what importance she sees in you is but nothing short of absent in my sight." [/glow]
"She?" thought Jenova out loud, curious that there was someone out there who thought she was of some importance. If anything, she found it amusing. Sadly, it did not matter to her what this unknown person wanted. Not now, since she had so much to do.
The Unversed Creature, which was now something else, closed her eyes and flicked her hair lightly behind her shoulders; a flow of silver brushing against her tanned, tender skin. She watched Garland handle the small Taru, and she wasn't bothered by this at all. It was rather deserving of the small thing, barking of superiority in the world that rightfully belonged to the Iron Titan next to her. When the midget was left unarmed, it was then Jenova glanced at her again. Soft blue eyes having the attention that was wanted, after Garland went through all the trouble of second "first impressions."

[glow=teal,2,300]After being man-handled and set down shortly after. Her eyes squinted and her ears suddenly lowered, staring at this iron menace. She dusted her cloths and raised a hand at the table before her where this iron giant had set her staff. She had uttered something simple of unknown origin. Jupiter began to twitch but for a moment, and spin to her little taru hand.
Still, Shantotto stared at this iron giant. This giant had spoke[/glow] "Self-proclaimed superior or not, there is a level of courtesy that one should show in the presence of a woman...."
[glow=teal,2,300]"Show courtesy in the presence of a woman?! I do say your as much of a hypocrite as you are a blind fool. I'll shall make it my personal note to have you for my tool." She perked up a bit to look back at Jenova who was still sitting in place.
"As for you my dear Jenova, my offer stands. Though if you admire your iron friend, I suggest a leash perhaps?"[/glow]

Jenova stared with a blank expression at the creature. It was rather rude how she didn't wish to respect the words coming from Garland's lips. She stood up, her eyes narrowed at the tiny creature, ready to strike if anything against her arrogance. The iron giant sounded interested in what the Tarutaru had to say, so why not she? Could it probably help his cause, this letter?
Her eyes glanced down to the midget's own, and stayed starring at her, "This letter... who is it from, and why would she send it to begin with?" she questioned softly-- what if the one who wanted to give her the letter was Meadowsong? Or one of the others under Atticus? What if they were instructions about the opening of the door? All this rushed into her mind, and she took it into consideration.
New orders, perhaps...?

[glow=teal,2,300]Shantotto's ear twitched a bit once she saw the curiosity of Jenova and the letter. Shantotto put a hand to her chin and began to tap her foot and stood but a moment. Pulling the letter from her coat, she then spoke. "Who is it that sent this note? Now that is something you must find out. Come with me and play my games then we can see who shall name names? O~hohohoho!"[/glow]

The INSTANT Jenova's fingers would touch the envelope, a voice would erupt in her mind...
"Jenova. We're ready. Come to the Castle of Naught. It's time to go to the Promised Land..." Atticus whispered through darkness to her... and then... silence...
Let's just hope... that she didn't take THIS as the message of the letter...
