Hercules watched carefully as the bad guys began to gather. He heard a response from Gabranth, but time wasn't exactly on their side. He got ready, and held up the device. "Just get in the air! I'm going after the clown now! Once I get where I'm going, I'll contact you again!" he said, then quickly shoved the device into his bronze armor.
The SECOND Atticus was inside the Corridor (along with Kefka), Hercules sprinted forward with all the speed of a charging mare. He had seconds, maybe less. Two breaths... two blinks, even, and it'd close. But fortunately for him, Hercules was able to THRUST himself forward at the last possible moment... and send himself flying through the corridor, wheeling out of control along the path that the villains tread... only able to manage his own will to exit microseconds after they had left...

[glow=green,2,800]Ms. Go watched Atticus and the others leave, and in the chaos of all, she stayed there wondering what he meant. "OOOOOH!!" she finally said, getting it. "..........ooohhh" this time she sounded as if she smelled something foul. She had COMPLETELY forgotten, and it has been almost two days, hasn't it?
The heartless thief shivered-- she STILL didn't have that Heartsteel that was needed. She looked about, wondering if there was anything around the Opera House... ANYTHING at all, that could point her to where she could locate that rare ore. [/glow]

Gabranth had been sitting and waiting for sometime within the ship that Mc.Duck had given them. Hercules had mentioned he was running after the clown they had seen from behind the stage. Then, the communicator began to vibrate.
"Gabranth? You there? I'm in some kind of castle... use the device to find me... Maybe Meg's here???"
Hercules had come over the communicator, saying something of a castle and maybe having an idea of where Meg was. If he had found Meg's location, this might prove worthwhile for him seeing as he was after Maleficent. Gabranth raised his communicator to his visage and spoke. "Castle you say." He paused as he contemplated a plan. "If Meg is there, then so is Maleficent. Turn the beacon on your device, I'll have the ship lock on it's target, and pilot to it's position."
Shortly after, Gabranth intiated take off procedure. He had conected the communicator to the ships deck, and in turn the ship began to locate a general area to the communicators counterpart. After a few minutes, a few beeps would pass signaling that it had made a lock. He strapped into his pilots chair, and began his journey to A Descent Into Darkness.

HardeWare barely managed to crawl his way out of the service duct just before everything was up and working. "whew, i wonder where I'm going?"

As the Red Rose set off in search of those who went missing, chaos erupted within its confines; soldiers were panicking, but somehow managing to make it look as if they kept their cool. The general, of all people, had gone missing once more! And this time there was no Abigail to take control. It was all up to Ellis, General Beatrix' First Mate.
Also, their Head Professor of Science and Research was no longer aboard the ship, which meant no quick summaries of mysterious findings or easy help out of tight situations. This would be very bad if they ran into something dangerous.
Unfortunately the Heartless Armarda answered that call and was on its way to tear down the Forces of Light.
"Ensign Hewitt, please ready all shields. Zehphira, I want you to call the Engine Room and beg the engineers to please bust their rears and get this heap into hyper drive. We're not going to make it if we take on The Fallen's miscreants this time."
As her subordinates went to obey she at the helm glanced at the sword hanging off her belt and sighed. "The legacy of Alexandria...we are all that is left. We simply mustn't disappoint the general...Master Vivi!"
The young Black Mage that sat in the couch-chair of the former Queen Brahne tilted his head, startled at the very Beatrix-esque tone in the First Mate's voice.
"Yes, you! If you can, could you please make an attempt to channel one of the three Sisters of Light? Preferrably General Beatrix, as she is our leader, but any assistance with locating the others, as well as Doctor Winter and Private Ria, would be invaluable."
The mage stood up and instead sat on the floor with a nod, and closed his glowing eyes and prepared to meditate.
"Navigation, that doesn't mean you get a break! Keep working! Sir Nexus has given us strict directions for certain members of the damzel team, and we've got to make it to them!"

The armada was not going to let up. Already, they spanned the skies, casting an amazing network of ships. Stingers were flying in to make the initial strike, fast and furious. They could only do so much damage at a time, but they could tag it on swiftly and be on their way. Destroyers would be a bigger problem, as they could do massive amounts of damage at a time, even if it took them a couple extra seconds to reload their cannons.
Overhead, Carriers were keeping the battlefield replenished with fresh Stingers should one or two get taken down. Beyond them stood the Monoliths, the last line of offense should the Rose make it past the others. And so, it became a game of tactics. Which ships would warrant the first attacks, and which ones could wait a moment or two longer? The fast, but low-impact Stingers? The slow, but heavy-hitting Destroyers? The ship-producing Carriers? Or the stationary but deadly Monoliths?
Think fast. The Heartless Battle Fleet will not be taking breaks...

the vampire felt the sudden disappearance of light her body began to lose control, she couldn't think, every other thought had been forced out by the one desire.
the desire to feed.
the vampire burst out of the room and into the shadows, she began to crawl across the walls looking for something to eat... the hunt had begun.

"Captains Maara and Linda, we have a problem!" cried Ellis through the intercom. "The armada's coming at us with full strength, and it seems to have something to do with the sudden disappearance of the Distant Sun!"
Linda, who manned the starboard side cannoneers, saluted to to no one in particular after hearing the voice overhead. "You heard the captain!" she called, walking down the line of the frantic soldiers. "We have a decision to make, and we've got to come up with one quick. Maara! The Destroyers are closer to your side; concentrate on them and we shall handle the monliths...we need something...collect extra shield power over the range of stingers! We don't want them making contact!"

Maara instructed her soldiers to "man" the cannons and magics as much as they could, concentrating all their power on their side of the ship.
"I'M SO TIRED OF THESE THINGS SNEAKING UP ON US!" lashed out Maara, pointing at one of the incoming ships, " SHOW NO MERCY!!"
Her little squad would cheer, and the captain would look to Linda, " They took Rin-- She didn't do anything and they took her to Alexander knows where-- I WON'T FORGIVE THEM!" she cried, positioning a cannon to take out a ship on her own. Maara had never been so serious....

The increase to shielding would be enough to reduce the Stinger attack effectiveness, but did not completely negate the damage they would cause. Meanwhile, the guns now aimed for the Destroyers would do their jobs well, finding their marks and dishing out heavy damage, which would take one or two out every five seconds or so. However, high above the Rose, Carriers would continue to replenish the battlefield.
Every 10 seconds or so, a new destroyer would come into play for each of the 4 Carriers, and within the same time alotment, each Carrier would produce 5 new Stingers. They did not attack on their own, however.
As the crew was damaging the battle fleet, they might also take notice of some ships beyond the field of battle which did not attack, nor move much at all. They were Tactics Stations, round ships which did nothing more than control the communications between individual ships in the battle fleet. They were busy making sure Carriers knew what to make, and that Destroyers knew where their targets were...

[glow=green,2,800]With little luck in finding what she wanted to find, "Now what was it that I was supposed to find?" she eventually forgot what she was to find in the first place. With a sigh and a hmph, she went to seek out who would know what she was to find... that WASN'T Shego.

"This roundabout is really getting on my nerves!" roared Ellis, slamming her fist down on the helm, watching as, before the Rose the battlefield seemed to either gain more enemies or keep a constant number...each time they destroyed a vessel, one or two more would take their place.
"General Beatrix is not here..." she said to the navigators, and picked up the loudspeaker. "I am ordering a full, fast and risky retreat!"
Shaking her head she spun the wheel, the whole ship rocking to its side as a tumbling enemy ship tried barreling into the hull, only to miss and be cast off into deep space.
"We've got to go now!"

The ships were still on the offensive, making it near-impossible for the Rose to make a break for it. However, when a distress signal reading simply "SOS Pridelands" come across the screens of the Red Rose cockpit, the resulting attention to that direction would yield the singular flaw in the net cast by the heartless battle fleet.
They only anticipated a move AWAY from the planet. All the heavy armament was pointed in a direct line from surface to hyperspace, but the way horizontal was mostly clear (save for maybe a monolith or two). The Pridelands were actually in the opposite direction to the flight pattern the heartless had counted on...

"SOS PRIDE LANDS"
"SOS PRIDE LANDS"
"SOS PRIDE LANDS"
"Captain!" shouted Zefie, one of the navigators nearest the helm, jumping out of her seat and pounding her fist over her heart. "Captain! An SOS has been issued throughout the galaxy, coming from the Pride Lands, directed solely at the Red Rose! Communications say that it is being broadcast to other stations, as well, but we are their primary target."
"What? Could it be the others? The general?" Ellis ordered several others to get to work mapping out the route to the location of the distress signal and began working with other tacticians on how best to navigate out of this mess.
"...that's right; the fleet's left flank will not expect us to tilt that way and, when they fire we will have moved, thus having them combat several of their other ships on our starboard flank..."
"Make it so," called Ellis, spinning the helm. Several soldiers manning the right-side cannons aboard the ship braced themselves, loading their weapons as the Rose rocked to the side, literally leaning on its shoulder.
"Hyperdrive!" she ordered, gazing forward now at the break in the fleet's ranks. "Take down whatever monoliths block our path, but I think we can risk barreling through!"
All at once the Alexandrian Army hurried to work.
"Maara, Linda, Sharon and Isolde, now! Order rain of fire, now! Hyperdrive!"

As expected, when the Rose turned on its heels and ran, the Battle Fleet was not expecting it. They broke through their weak flank easily, the Monoliths shooting pointlessly at them as they sped by. Those that were about to attack had opened fire, doing damage to their own ships in the process. The result was that this particular blocked was broken, and some ships were in need of repair.
Enjoy your escape, Red Rose, but the longer you dilly-dally, the more filled this Hyperspace becomes with dangerous heartless ships. And they would most assuredly learn from this minor defeat...
